I have been trying to start a cruise meet thread and no one has responded!

Wow - will we have the ship all to ourselves? I won't have to worry about getting Palo reservations??!!:rotfl2:

Nope, won't have the ship all to yourselves!!!!!

You'll be sharing that space with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

We're soooo excited, this is our first Disney cruise!:woohoo:

You'll also be sharing with us, also first-time Disney cruisers - and I am SERIOUSLY worried that we'll get hooked. We had our first cruise booked for 12/06/09 but cancelled and re-booked for the 01/31/10 Wonder with the kids sale free special. Traveling with my in-laws and our 9yo son and 5yo daughter. Got REALLY lucky with our re-book and ended up with the secret porthole rooms, connecting - previously had Cat 10s on deck 2, non-connecting. And saved money on top of that!

I am SOOOOOOOO excited!!!

Did you actually start a thread on the Meets Board? I did not see it. I would merge this thread with that one for you. Or, I can just move this to the meets thread and you can continue with the thread there.

Thanks.

MJ

I created a thread for you on the Meets Board. I will merge this thread with that one!!:thumbsup2

Yeah - this makes it official!

Anyone else doing any park days with this trip? We are going to go to MK for Fri/Sat after the trip. Can't wait!

We are not doing anything pre/post cruise. We live in central GA and have been do WDW several times for a day or two here or there, and can ONLY afford the cruise this time around!

I think I'm addicted to these boards!! And even though this is our first cruise, I'm already trying to figure out how we can swing another one on the Dream in 2011!!

I am also totally addicted to these boards. My messy house and piles of laundry show for it!

This is our first Disney cruise also! I have already gained so much knowledge - and feel as if I have only scratched the surface!

I am not crafty and I am racking my brain on how to do a Fish Extender!

The planning is half the fun to me!

WE ARE!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

We are coming from the east coast of Canada and always make our trips to Disney long ones. It takes us about 10 hours (with stop overs) to get to Orlando (that's flying) so yeah, we definitely make it worth our while.

We are arriving on Jan. 25 and staying @ POFQ for 6 nights then after our B2B on the Wonder, we are staying 2 more nights @ AKL.:cool1: We are buying the park hopper with our package because at some point through out the day we end up back at MK!!!!!

We have a DS (9) & DD (4) who love Disney as much as I do. We are keeping this trip a secret........Christmas gift.:santa: They know we are going sometime next year (usually go in Sept.) but we've never cruised Disney before. When they open this gift Christmas morning............needless to say, there will be some excited screams in our house that morning. It is very difficult not talking to them about it.

Talk to you all soon!

Tink010 - we have a DS who is 9 and a DD who is 5. Do you think your kids are going to be interested in the kids' clubs? I am not sure about mine. I don't want to MAKE them do it, but I want them to at least try it because I've heard so much about how much fun they'll have. I think the video games will be enough to entice the DS, but DD is a little nervous/anxious about trying anything new, especially when she doesn't know anyone. And having the grandparents along will make it even less likely that they'll want to be separated from us, I think. Just wondering if you think yours will participate.

I have ds7, ds4, dd2 = the boys are very excited about the kids clubs. We watched the DVD and it really pumped them up! I am afraid I won't get them out of there! LOL!!

I am now working on all cute decorations for decorating your door. Is anyone else planning on doing that?

:yay: We booked this cruise last week! We are so excited about going. It will be myself, darling husband, 9 year old son and 8 year old daughter. My husband and I have been on the Magic, but didn't take the kids. Last year on another cruise the kids saw the Wonder docked and told his that was their next cruise! LOL!

Hello all!:wave2:

lbuher, I do expect both my children will enjoy the kids clubs. They are both out-going children who love playing with others. However, the pool & slide may win over during the day. I'm hoping they will spend some time in the clubs but who knows, I may be wrong. My son loves playing video games (especially Wii) so I'm thinking he will spend some time in the club. I'm sure he will meet up with your son at some point. My daughter, not really sure if she will spend a lot of time there or not. I do know she will spend a lot of time in the pool but it will be good for her to meet others her age at the club. She has no problems playing at the program she is in at home. She attends this "preschool" program 3 mornings a week and we never had a problem leaving her there, even on the first day. Sometimes when we pick her up, she isn't ready to leave.

Welcome cougar242.......

pjtm, I bought some disney magnets to put on our door but they're pretty small. I'm with you, I'm not crafty either. But I do want to do something to make it easy for my son ( & us too) to locate our room. Let me know what you come up with please.

Never thought I'd be saying "come on January"!:rotfl:

Hey everyone,

Just checking in but no posts in the last couple of days. Everyone must be busy!

I did see a post recently about the new water slide for CC. Wow, it looks amazing! Hope it's up & running for our visit. I heard it was suppose to be in operation by the end of the year. :tink: We'll keep our fingers crossed for some pixie dust to come our way.

Hi all!
My DH and I will be coming along too!! :yay: We are celebrating our 10th Anniversary and will be doing a five night stay at WDW before we come aboard. We are so blessed to have been given a 3 night stay at Animal Kingdom Villas from my BFF and her hubby as an anniversary gift and then we will hang out at Pop for a couple nights before we head to the Wonder. :thumbsup2 This is our first cruise and I am super excited!!!:cheer2:

Welcome davids68girl............ sounds like you have a wonderful trip planned. We, too, celebrated our 10th anniversary earlier this year. And like you, we celebrated on a cruise (just not a disney cruise). My children would NOT allow us on Disney (anything Disney) withOUT them! I've been trying to plan an 'adults only' trip for a while now.........but DS(9) gets upset just hearing about it.:sad2:

I think I need to change my countdown banner to the days........mine gives months & days. I want to know how many more sleeps.:lmao: Can ya tell I'm VERY excited about this trip (as I'm sure everyone else is)!!!!!!!!

My dh and I will also be celebrating our anniversary on the ship! It will be our 9th!

I was out of town last week and was in Dis-withdraw!! Missed all the fun planning!

Sounds like we are all excited and counting down the days!! :cool1: I think it will be a great trip!

Is this everyone's first Disney cruise? I think I saw someone that has cruised before didn't I? It's all new to DH & I and I can't wait.

It's not our first cruise but our first Disney cruise. And with three kids! Last time we cruised, my ds was only 2!

I am still trying to figure out fish extenders? Anyone care to elaborate? Anyone else planning on this?
