January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

Just wondering where everyone is staying the night before the cruise??

I am not sure yet but not to fussy about where I stay for one night....I was looking into Beachfront Wakulla 2 bedroom Hotel or whatever but not sure yet. I want to stay somewhere near or right on N Atlantic Ave, as we will be returning the car on the way to the cruise and then getting the shuttle over.

We will be staying at the Poly for 2 nights before the cruise, anyone else staying onsite and visiting the parks before cruise?:yay:

We are staying at the Beach Club Villas the night before.

I love the yacht and beach club resorts, was debating whether to stay at the yacht club again but we havent had the chance to do the poly yet so it will be interesting to see which resort will become my favorite after this trip,. we went to beaches and cream for lunch last time there and got the' kitchen sink' WOW! if you love ice cream sundaes you gotta order this! just don t eat a very big lunch before LOL It was awesome!:cloud9:

I just clicked on the first one Great Bay I think....it sounds great!!! I dont think I seen anything about House Beach and there is NO WAY I would go to a nude beach......:scared1: I would be soooooooo embarassed..:rolleyes1 LOL

Orient Beach is pretty famous and there is nudity - it is on the French side so follows European rules regarding swimwear. Le Galion, while also on the
French side, isn't Orient beach. BTW - Disney only offers Orient Beach for their beach excursions!! Yes, you might see someone topless at Le Galion but my kids won't notice or care. We are going early so we will probably be back before afternoon and it will be quieter then anyway.

When I was on beaches in Europe, it was never topless women that bothered me, it was kids swimming naked until they were around 10 or so (many european countries don't do bathing suits for children). For some reason beaches full of naked children were unnerving to me!!:lmao:

We are flying in that morning. Our flight leaves at 7:30 and arrives at 9:30. Hopefully we will be at the port by 11!!!!:cheer2: We are staying the full day after we return and going to Sea World and then taking a 8pm flight home. Hopefully the kids will sleep!!!

We flew in the morning of in Feb (Royal Caribbean), we flew into Orlando and drove to Tampa, we had plenty of time, then we stayed at Disney for 2 nights. This year dh wanted to fly in day early and just drive/walk around the area we stay as we always only go to Disney. I want to scope out for our next Disney Cruise with the kids...see where to go. Maybe I will find a genie on the beach...LOL!!!!! I have not been to Sea World for years but I loved it when I was there last. Have you guys been?

Yes - but not for awhile and our last time was to Sea World San Diego. We have 2-year passes that get us into all of the Busch parks, so thought we would take advantage while there. It makes it less sad to leave the boat when you have somewhere fun to go!!!:thumbsup2

We wanted to use Delta points for our return flight and only fly direct with the kids, so our choices were 2 pm or stay until 8. Didn't feel like hanging around the airport that long!! We were at Disney last November and my kids went in March before that so we are taking a little break this year and just doing the cruise!!

You are going to be very lucky if you get to the port by 11a. Baggage at MCO is some of the slowest in the US. Reset your wish to noon, that way if you are there earlier than you will be surprised.

To be honest, there is not all that much to do in the terminal at the Port. There is limited seating and it can get noisy. Mickey and Minnie do come out, but you will have many sightings over the next 6 or so days.

Relax, it is the first day of a Holiday. And the real key to a cruise it relax.

What time can you check in and get on the ship? I forget if I asked this already!!!!:rolleyes1

LMAO!!! HELLO PARENTS....DISNEY CRUISE ........ PARENTS  LOL JUST KIDDING AVERYSMOM!!!

You are so right - they dont get it....they think it would be fun to have the 4 of us stay in their trailer in a Seniors Community for a week.....my kids would drive me nuts within a few days.

2 days will be plenty for me :rotfl::rotfl:

LONG LONG time ago (Before Kids, I was probably about 22), I went to St Martin with friends and we went to Orient Beach (in our bathing suits). I remember walking out into the water to play in the waves and there was a guy in the water just enjoying the sun. The water was up to his Waist. As I started to walk into the water, the tide goes out and suddenly I realized that the man standing there was a very overweight man who was BUCK NAKED.....

I turned and went back onto the beach!

We loved the Kitchen Sink - we made a special trip over in 2009 for one - a long wait but well worth it. We had a great time chowing down on that ice cream......a True Disney Experience.

If you dont know what it is - you can go to Youtube and do a search on DIsney Kitchen Sink and you will see how one is made.

My husband lost his wedding ring on that beach and I burnt to a crisp on the beach waiting for him to give up looking for it. It slide right off in the water. I am guessing it was the sunscreen that made it slip off. This was our honeymoon too and he had too nude girls helping him find it...Let's say we will remember this always. After that I put my rings in the safety deposit box at the hotel.

We would go back to the hotel we stayed at but they never rebuild Mullet Bay after a hurricane hit it years ago. Did take the kids the first cruise there some building are standing some are not. Sad really can't go back for a second honeymoon.
