Im planning my trip for 1/8/17-1/14/17...
I hear the last Disney run will be on 1/8. How busy will it be during that time? Is it worth it to try and go at that time? Or should I wait a few days instead?
Is it just the MK that gets flooded, leaving less crowded parks and less wait times at the other 3?
This is my daughters (7years old) first trip ever, and my husbands first trip ever (and also his birthday) I want to make sure that I'm picking a good time to go! I hear January tends to be less crowded, but with the runs, I'm worried!

The Disney Marathon weekend tends to fill the resorts but doesn't affect the parks very much. By arriving on the 8th you'll miss most of the race crowds anyway.

I am looking at going about the same time as you. I want to avoid the race crowds and also the MLK crowds. I haven't finalized any plans yet. What about you?

from what I have picked up on through different threads and pricing and crowd calendars I think the time period you have selected will be one of the less crowded times to go.

So, it should be great for your trip with two first timers! How fun is that! I would definitely plan on two days at MK with two first timers just because it is classic Disney and there is so much to ride and see in that park over the other parks.

I remember taking my son for his first trip when he was 8 and we one of my favorite trips was also when my DD was 6. So, I know you will have a fantastic time taking your daughter at that age! She will just be awestruck and it will be a blast experiencing everything with her and your hubby!
