Could anyone give me feedback on visiting the end of January? According to the crowd calendars, it is a level 1, but I'm not sure what that looks like. We visited for the day this past Jan 31 and the campground was PACKED!!! We will either being staying at SSR or BLT dependent on my parents going with us or not. As of now, it will be DH - 34, DD - 2 (at that time), and me 30. We have gone in October/December for the past six years and are looking to change it up a bit. We do enjoy going for the extra stuff, but it would also be nice to enjoy all that Disney has to offer outside of the seasonal activities.

I am also visiting at that time. What crowd calendar have you seen a 1 on? I've seen everything from 4-7 on Touring Plans and 3-5 on Undercover tourist.

Third week of January is usually a good time. I've had family visit me during those times for a few years now and it's been nothing but enjoyable.

I've been the last week in January and it was by far the least crowded but it was also in 2008. For reference, I have also been in late May/early June, week before Thanksgiving, and week after Christmas more recently. I wouldn't hesitate to go then again. Weather is unpredictable (cold, warm, drizzly, sunny) but it didn't slow us down. I have read somewhat recent posts about loud tourists groups in January that do scare me a little, but we didn't see any when we were there (again 2008).

I'm curious about this too as we are thinking of this time.

I know the weather can be chilly, hours are shorter, and more refurbs at that time. But I do think the crowds are lower and 1s would be awesome! (1s in today's Disney of course)
