Well, he is usually a super awesome kid...even considering the teen thing!! ha, but a while back he made a crack to his bro & sis that 'He gets taken to DW for his bday...what do they get taken to do? ' So!!!! i said, guess what, we don't go BECAUSE it's your bday...it just works out that way. But, I will try to avoid that from now on if you are gonna pop off something hateful and untrue like that ever again!!!!

So, he knows that is just depends on what works best for the family. It doesn't matter to him really, he just wants to gooooooo!!

I just checked the crowd level thing and the week of the 5th is actually showing a few days with lower #s than the week before. Plus I got to thinking about this too....the Thurs before we were gonna go, of course it Thanksgiving...guess who has Tday at their house? ME!!!! I also have weird thing about my house/laundry has to be perfect before I go on vacation. So, that was gonna be hard!! Plus i have family come in and spend the weekend... I could work it out,but I also have the kids finishing school for the semester that week!!!!! Can we say BUSY so....all that being said.....

If I get a 40% PIN, I'm upgrading to Deluxe. I don't want to do the same resort two years in a row, but I so enjoyed the boatride to Magic Kingdom. That would be great with a two year old.

I'm excited about PORFQ, but I'm not 100% sold on it. Seriously hoping that I can upgrade somehow.

I feel the exact same way Soleil. If we have to go value I will (boy that sounded snotty ) but if something better comes along- I'll probably switch. We've only ever stayed moderate so value makes me nervous with all those dance/cheerleader stories I've read! Although my kids would LOVE to stay Toy Story and the cash we save could go for more souvies! I go back and forth every day.

Sorry you didnt get a REAL magical CM. That's just irritating. I don't know about last year, i think they did...but we did Jan, so I got the 4/3 deal. I don't care if it's FD, 40% room discount or 4/3.... I just want something!!! I hope we all get super PINs!!!!

That's a tough one Shawna. I'd probably go for the earlier week in hopes of less crowds. I have heard in recent years the all of December is getting to be quite busy, not just the end of the month anymore.

The plan so far is to have 3 days in London, 3 in Paris, and then 2 days for travel. I am going to look through all the museums in Paris, and have planned out what we're going to see. I know we will only see a fraction, but it will be the fraction that is most important to us. As far as London goes, the DH only wants to spend one full day in London and then the other two exporing other things close by. I am hoping that there is a theatre that has a production of the Phantom of the Opera running while we are there. It has been a dream of mine to see Phantom in London. I tried to convince my DH to add a day to it to go to Oberammergau, Germany to see their Passion Play that they only do every 10 years, and he looked at me like I was crazy. Actually his response was, "and what are you smoking, Kim".
Right now I am planning 3 trips, b/c I am still working on the figures as to what we are actually going to do. The London/Paris trip, a January WDW trip in case we don't go to Europe with us staying at the CR, and a January WDW trip in case they have the 4/3 deal with us staying at the PC.

We only paid for the Louvre in Paris. We went and looked at everything else though. My DH has a bit of a fear of heights, so the Eiffel Tower was off limits. We didn't realize how huge Paris was though, and tried to walk most of it like we did in Prague. It was a bit exhausting. The Metro system is really easy to navigate, but we just didn't use it as much as we should have. It was fun to walk the streets though.

Question...Would you go Nov28-Dec6....knowing the majority of kids are back in school....or wait till Dec5-13th. The 4th is my sons 14th bday and I don't want the other 2 to feel like we go just for his bday. I can't take the other 2 on their bday, because one is Mother's Day weekend, and the other one is Easter!!!!!! We have been on his bday before--twice actually, just because it worked out that way. My only hiccup is the 2nd week of Dec is that Pop Warner cheer thing and I read on here somewhere that this week will be blacked out for any room discounts. And, if they dont offer FD or 4/3, I don't want to miss it just becuase of the week we are going. I can do either one, just wondered what you all would do?

I know you already booked for Dec5-13th, but if you change consider the fact that he gets the extra perk since it's his birthday. You could convince him that he should do the Fastpass thing, because that would be something everybody could enjoy.

Well, I am back from the picnic! The rain held off just long enough for everyone to eat outdoors and then it let loose! We all went in to have our "Thanks for being great parents" cake! Then we helped our kids scrapbook stories that they had written! All the pages will be bound together in a scrapbook and put into the school library!

Well, seeing as how it was cancelled for the ENTIRE YEAR, I don't know if Disney would bring it back again! That was actually one of the reasons we booked our trip for the end of January! I was hoping that we'd be able to go to one! Oh well! The thing I would like to see returned? I thought Captain EO from Epcot was pretty cool. MK Skybuckets, definitely the skybuckets - that was a fun ride!

Yes, I do think the P&PP is a thing of the past. At least until this economy gets turned around.

I would absolutely love it if they brought back the Stars & Cars Motor Parade. That was the best parade! We thought the Block Party Bash thing they have now was pretty dumb!

I cannot believe that either! Or that Sunday is the first day of summer...we've been pretty summery here for awhile now!!!! I do think P&P is over. I really wanted the kids to do it in Jan, but I am just glad I didn't say anything about it and then disappoint them. i dont know what I would have brought back.

I know something that would get the can.... Mike HATES IASW. I know, he's nuts!! i actually like it,,,maybe i am the nut.!! We were just talking about it last night. He said it reminds him of something like an animal--near death...just be kind and kill it he said. Put it out of it's misery I asked him why did he ride it then? And he said, I guess cause the line is short and I am tired... I forget how bad i hate it and then it is tooooo late! Ha!! i thought I would explode I was laughin' so hard!!!!

I did try to get him to scale down this time and so the Family Suite...nothin' doin. monorail snob 100%. But, I gotta give it to him...he works hard and if he wants to skip as many bus rides as possible, by golly, I am all for it!!! I am just so thankful God has blessed us so much to be able to take this kind of trip!! It's a blessing to me for our family to do this together. I can't praise Him enough! He is sooo good.

If restaurants count- I miss Alfredo's. DH and I went there for our honeymoon and it holds a bit of nostalgia for us. I was sad to see it go.

Lucky you! I may transform my DH into a monorail snob yet though, as we have never stayed on the monorail. He has already informed me that he will probably be an on property snob after we take this trip with my parents. I am very excited about that possibility.

Aww congratulation! Just in case you didn't know, babies that are born in November are the best, so you are very lucky. Not that I would be biased or anything.
My Aunt is due with their second in November as well, they're not finding out the sex though.
