Count me in too Jan 23 - 30 :yay:

That's what I am thinking, booking a moderate and waiting to see what kind of deal comes out and then upgrading to the BC!! :goodvibes

Does your DH know about your plan to possibly upgrade??? :yay:

No, we just talked about POP. I don't think he would mind if I kept it around $2000. With Belle being free now and a really good deal that would be possible. I'm just not that interested in any of the mods. Not enough to pay the difference. Time may change my mind.:goodvibes

I know, we need some kind of spectacular deal to come out too so we can do 8 nights/9 days! :cloud9:

Hey do you think the 4/3 deal plus free dining is too much to ask???

Sounds like the perfect deal to me! They could go ahead and throw in that $200 gift card too!! :confused3

Shelly, go ahead and change my dates to staying until the 31st. A girl can dream, right?? Is it sad that I already want to plan my ADR's. I've only got 5 1/2 months until I can actually call them! I better hurry!:rotfl:

We did 8nights/9days last trip---it was awesome...we went to DTD the first night (Sat), Sund we did AK, got that outta the way and went to MK on Monday and Tues, HS on Wed. Thursday I had scheduled for pool & laundry day- good thing too, cause it rained all day and got chilly! Friday and Saturday were repeats and souvenier shopping day. sunday we hit MK for a few hours b4 we left and wouldn't you know it....harldy anyone there because it was Super Bowl Sunday!!!

Of course the last day of your trip would be the least crowded!!
We left that morning to get on the cruise - so you can thank us for leaving too!

I'm already planning my ADRs too! We have such a large group, I'm going to have to split it up and get two tables I think. We will be doing a few repeats, since the SILs didn't go with us to ADRs before, they heard us raving about CP and LeCellier, and now they want to do them too! Think we'll try for SciFi at DHS and also hit Tony's at MK this time. If we can't get LeCellier, maybe the Italian place in Epcot or the Japanese steak house. What do you think of those? Anybody try them lately??
I'm thinking for LeCellier we'll have to have two because I don't remember any really large tables (like for 10). Maybe there was one large group when we were there. We might end up doing the Ohana breakfast again too. Last time we went the morning we were heading to the ship. That worked out really good! And we saw Shawna that morning! But if the shuttle's going up on our last morning, we're skipping breakfast! Maybe that will be a planned OOP just in case!! Don't want to waste a TS credit!

Had a great day today! Day off, went for a massage and to some garage sales, shopping... So nice to have no schedule! My massage was actually kind of tough, I have such bad knots in my shoulders/neck area, that it was a bit painful. The therapist said, well, we made some progress. That makes me believe I need more work done!! I'm really sore now and trying not to hunch over the computer (which is part of why I have these problems!!) I wish my insurance would cover massage therapy! I probably should go every week, but just can't afford it (time or money!). Oh well. I will soldier on.

Hello everyone. Thanks for all your words of comfort. Things sort of got solved at work, but not really. The GM is still an idiot, and the one supervisor Jessica is still her manipulative self. Oh I was told however that I didn't get the job because I already knew the area so well, so they thought I would get bored with it...:confused3:rotfl:. Yeah I just had to laugh. But through this I am getting "promoted" to department head of a different area. It's an area I don't particularly want or care for, but I'm not going to fight them on this. I'll take and look for something better.

Also, I just realized that if this trip for August all pans out, I'll miss a friends wedding....:rolleyes1. It's not that I don't like her. We were great friends in high school, talked in college and now basically just talk on Facebook or if we run into each other someplace. So, oh well! HaHa...is that bad?!?!

Well everyone have a great night and a great weekend!

*To all mothers....HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!:flower3::hug:

Sheree~ I haven't eaten at the Italian or Japanese places. I have heard the Italian one is pretty good tho'. We do love the Le Cellier!!! That one is always hard to get into--do you like the Chinese place? Nine Dragons..we really like it-and it's kinda of relaxing in there-and the little gymnastic kids outside performing are always a treat.

We did the Sci-Fi, but the kids didn't really like it because it's kinda dark and they couldn't really see their food---I thought the food was ok, but I felt like it wasted a dp credit. We do like the 50s Prime Time-if you haven't done that one- I know they do big groups because last time they had a group of cheer girls with their sponsors and they took 2 big tables and then a table for 4. With 10 in your party, I would think everyone could find something they liked to eat there--since it's kinda home-cookin'.

Shelly-glad you got something out of that crazy deal!! Hopefully you can find something better soon. I think I would have to pass up a wedding for Disney!!! Hands down--unless it was my best friend or super close family member! I have friends that I was so close with in high school, and now I might see or talk to them once a year. If it was that, I would def. go on vacation if it was already planned.

Well, today was my middle ones bday party--he has 2 little friends over to spend the night. they are soooo cute with all the Legos out---building a Pirate ship. His party was Pirates of the Caribbean since we are on a Pirate thing right now! I can't believe my baby boy is turning 10!!! His bday is actually Sunday, so we did our party today. He is such a good sweet little boy! I know we all think our kids are the bomb, right?!!?? I just love him to death!! (The other 2 as well---don't want to sound biased!!) Just have to brag on him a bit 'cause it's his weekend! I have to say my kids are such blessing to me! I am so thankful for them and for my hubby-I am a super blessed woman! Birthdays make me weepy! --can you tell?:rotfl:

There are a lot of us that are going to be there at the same times...I'm sensing a Snowbird meet!! Perhaps I will actually be able to make it this time :lmao:

Also I was wondering if anyone was going to be getting a Photopass? Last time my parents and my sister went so we split it 3 ways and it wasn't as costly. I sure wish I could split it with them again but they aren't going this time. It's a shame they stopped allowed the Photopass shares...they are expensive but the pictures were definitely worth it. Sure wish the dis hadn't canceled those Photopass shares. :rolleyes1(hint...hint...):stir:

Well I'm off to run some errands and then have my traditional Mother's Day Tea at a great little tea place with my mom and sister. I can hear a scone calling my name already! This year my niece gets to join us because she's a little older. I can't wait til my dd can join in the tradition. Tomorrow we are heading to Hershey Park for the day. I wish all of you a wonderful Mother's Day! :flower3:

Well hopefully we can all get a great deal and upgrade!!! :wizard:

The moderates are well worth it over the values for us. But then we have 2 growing boys, not one little girl like you! If we were just 3 then I'm sure a value would be just fine! I sort of wish we would have started out at a value and then went to a moderate. DS now has to have a pool slide!!

I think I am going to book a moderate, and then hope and pray, and wait, for a great deal to come out and then upgrade to a deluxe if possible!! :cool1:

Yes, I think we should plan the Snowbird Meet first! That way it will be scheduled and then we can all schedule all of our other plans around it! :rotfl:

I hear what you are saying about a photopass share. ;)

Have a great time at Hersheypark! I'm not sure if we are going to make our annual trip to Hershey this year or not.

Sheree, we did Teppan Edo it was great. We had a blast the food was good, we had an awesome server & great view of the fireworks. We did it spur of the moment & got right in. Our server taught the kids how to use chopsticks properly. My son is a huge Godzilla nut so she spent a bunch of time talking Godzilla movies with him. By the time we were done he asked to have his picture with her & wanted to know if he could go visit her in Japan sometime. It was hilarious he had such a crush on her.

We love Sci Fi but we love to watch those old monster & sci fi B movies. Food is not bad we stick with burgers or corned beef the "adult" beverages are great & HUGE. The kids portions are good & they love the milkshakes. The friends we were with have a son with food allergies & they went out of there way to make him a rice dream shake so he wouldn't feel left out.

We went to Sci-Fi for lunch last May. We all liked it a lot. We are planning on going next year! DH and I had grilled chicken sandwiches, fries, and milkshakes. The kids had hot dogs, fries, and milkshakes. The food was very good and the milkshakes were the best!! The kids really enjoyed sitting in the front seat and being the "drivers"! We had excellent service too. :)

It sounds like we should go to SciFi for drinks and shakes!!
I'm going to consult with the "group" about Teppan Edo as a second choice in case LeCellier doesn't pan out for our dates. It sure sounds like something DH and I would really like. (and really, isn't that what matters? LOL!) Might even get to go there anyway if we have time. We're going to have hoppers this trip! :yay:
With the Military Salute tickets it only costs $25 to add hoppers, so we're doing it! With such a short trip, we will want to be flexible.

It's cold and cloudy here today. Very windy. The girls are going to a pool party later - good thing it's indoors!

My gosh, all this ADR talk is getting me really excited (I think I have food issues...:lmao:). We've never done Teppen or the Italian place (Tutto something?) but would like to try them both. Also want to try Sci-Fi, Big River Brewery, want to go back to Le Cellier when the kids aren't screaming (ruined the mood a bit when you're slamming down your food to take turns outside with an unconsolable baby), maybe try Yak and Yeti thanks to Soleil's review and gorgeous pix, wanna do CRT and CP...like I said before, I better book a two week trip to get in all of my ADR's...

Anyone have any speculations on changes to the DDP for next year?

I also have a food problem. It's called obsession! I was reading a dining review and it was PHENOMENAL - so funny and informative. This itty bit of a woman and her hubby from Britain ate so much!! It got me all worked up! I know I have to really plan this out since I'm dealing with 10 or 12 people. I must have back up plans, etc. I feel a spreadsheet coming on...

I forgot that many of you will be going in 2010 and the rules might change! I guess I'm getting lucky - I know what I can and can't do for the dining plan!
My problem is that my trip is too short to eat everywhere I want to! LOL!
I am hesitant to take too much time to eat TS meals during the day since we want to hit all the holiday stuff! I won't be able to go on too many rides! :rotfl:

Does anyone have any suggestions for "must see" resort decorations? I'm planning for sure on getting to Grand Floridian. We're staying at BLT, so I can just hop on the resort monorail.

Everyone raves about Wilderness Lodge at Christmas. Most of the decorations were down when we were there.

Our must to ADR-
OHana
Yak&Yeti
Akershus-dinner (not for the food-for the princessesprincess:)
We did not LOVE LeCellier, although I did love the soup. I think we were too full and worried about the baby that night.

I think my dates will have to vary slightly... maybe go a day early and leave a day early. If we can get the pay for 4 deal (3free) I think we will upgrade to deluxe. Our daughter will be 20 and my husband is a neat freak- we need the space!!

Our must do restaurants are:
SciFi Dine In
Rose and Crown
Crystal Palace
Liberty Tree Tavern

Other than that we are open to suggestions!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!! To all of you smart, beautiful, incredible moms, aunts, guardians, sisters, daughters, wives, girlfriends, fiancees, friends...

Hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing day!:grouphug:
