January 2009. . . Calling all Snowbirds ~ Part V

I'm shooting for 8 nights/9 days next time! :thumbsup2 Saturday until the following Sunday!

That might be a pretty hard goal to reach though considering I NEVER get these pin codes everyone else gets. :rotfl:

Why not just get there on Friday night? Then you could just get up and go on Saturday!!! With no more vacation time!!!

These were the first two pin codes ever for Hubby and me. They are good for up to a 14 (or was it 15?) day stay. Here's some pixie dust for luck!pixiedust:

My DH got a pin code for April for a $500 gift card! Way to soon for us but I have no idea why he would get a e-mail he doesn't get any other Disney mail?? The only thing we could think of was he went golfing when we were there and they sent him a survey. So he filled it out and then a couple of days later he got a pin :confused3

I got asked twice if I would do a survey, and both times I said Sure! I figured the more times I give them my email address, the better!
I think it probably helped that I spent some time just waiting around with DD while the guys went on the "big rides" (of course then I took my turn with the boys on the rides). I'm sure an adult with just a baby is more approachable than an entire family. Anyway, one was near RnRC (that survey was specifically about the Studios), and one was near Primeval Whirl (that one was about planning for a WDW trip). I responded to the email surveys as soon as I got home, but no PIN codes yet. Oh well! I'm entering the February sweepstakes every day, so I'm going to win a trip that way! :thumbsup2

There could be something to that survey theory. My Husband and I both completed surveys when we were there 1/21-1/28/2009 and we each got PINs.

Thanks for the pixiedust! :thumbsup2

It doesn't seem to matter what I do I never get any pin codes. :confused3

Of course we aren't going back this year anyway, so it will be awhile before any pins or deals come out for next year.

Should we start a 2010 code watch thread already?:lmao:

I was thinking about doing digital as well but I can't find anywhere to print 12x12 pages? I am in Canada so maybe it's diffrent here but I don't want to do them and then not be able to print them :confused3

Costco and Creative Memories Photo Center do them. I don't know about Canada though. Good luck!
I didn't think about where to print them. I'm also leaning towards digital because the 3 scrapbook stores within 50 miles of me have all closed due to the economy. I'd have to order all my supplies online. I jumped on the scrapbook forum and found some good links to "Disney-Style" digital scrapbooking supplies. If Disney would just license out a few digital scrapbook kits I'd be happy...and they'd probably be richer!

Good morning all! Or should I say afternoon? Oh well. My DD is in a booster seat with the back still attached. In NY, I think it's the whole 4'9" and under 8 years old thing. My DD is not even 40 lbs and is 44 inches tall, so she'll be in one for quite awhile! We brought just the bottom down with us to WDW and now that's all she wants to use. I would let her, but the seat belt cuts into her neck a little bit too much without the back attached. We'll just have to wait and see!

So, the buy 4 get 3 nights free deal was extended to Aug 15th. I'm still trying to convince me DH that we should go at the end of August. I know, I know...it's super hot at that time, but that's what my DH loves. Heat. Me, not so much, but I can put up with it for a week. I'm not going to push it though. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for free dining!!!!
Wow they extended the 3/4 deal! I'm dying to go back...this withdrawal is horrible. It wouldn't be so bad if my darling children would stop asking when we are going back to see the castle.:headache: :headache:

My mom got the same offer as me about a day later AND she got an offer for around her birthday (March 15) with the $500 gift card!!! My parents and little sis are going to Disneyland in April, so my mom won't be using the March offer. Bummer!

I was just pricing out the 4/3 deal!!! :rotfl: I made a nice little chart comparing a value resort to a moderate. One chart is for the end of July and the other is for early August. I made columns for the room & ticket price, adding the QS plan and the DDP!!!! I deperately want to go back this year!!!!

Creative Memories has some digital Disney stuff! I haven't downloaded it yet, but it looks cute on their site.

My son got that survey and a few days later the same deal came to him..... to bad he will be busy with baseball season.....

I don't like to chance the late arrival and not getting my room requests!

I was really worried about this too.... as we didn't arrive until 10pm but we got a great first floor room, on the corner of building 25 overlooking the lake.... couldn't have been better....

We received two different pin codes this week... but the 40% off with the military was the best deal.... that's why we are doing a girls trip in May!!!

Well I survived my first day back at work and the kids' first day back at school. I was lucky - not too much to catch up on. Although my kindergartner brought home about 5 pages of stuff to do!! She's just not used to homework! DD7 brought home two birthday party invitations for this weekend and none of the normal papers. She forgot to bring home the weekly schedule and spelling list! Parties are more important!
I managed to upload all my pictures, edit my photopass pictures and now I just have to take my memory card to Target. I have to review the pictures because I know some are lousy and I hate to stand there at the kiosk for half an hour! It'd be easier to do it at home and order on line, but I don't want to pay for shipping and for some reason, my Target won't let me order on line and pick up at the store. It's only a half mile from my house - it would be perfect!
I was looking at all the pictures, and missing WDW already! Such good memories and so much fun! I'm so glad I have all of you to share this with, some people just don't get it!
We've been pricing out various dates for fall/early winter too - We'd love to live it up and stay at a deluxe for a few nights! Who's got a favorite to suggest? We're leaning toward Poly, or Yacht/Beach for their convenience and proximity to MK and Epcot where we'd probably spend most of the time.

Well, another trip to WDW this year is not in the cards for us. :sad2: My DH said we could go back next year though, so that's always good. I'd like to go around the same time we just went. It was so nice!! I've always wanted to go to see the Christmas decorations, so early Nov would be cool. However, I don't think I can wait that long!!!

Just wanted you all to know I'm still here! Going thru major Disney and Snowbird withdrawals. Trying to catch up-still have a few hundred posts to skim!! And can I just say...being back to reality BITES!!!

I would love to try early November too. But this November just isn't going to happen and next November is way too far away! So we are still thinking either Jan/Feb or May. . . :confused3 Right now I'm leaning towards Jan/Feb - mainly because it is closer!! :lmao:

November is a wonderful time to go... we have been there before during that time.... we try and time it so we can get the end of the Food and WIne festival and we can do the first Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party... then we get to see the holiday decorations.... and the weather is usually nice as well....
