January 2009. . . Calling all Snowbirds ~ Part V

Has anyone had trouble when you printed 4 X 6 prints from PhotoPass with the Disney borders? I printed mine and some of the edges get cut off. I'm very frustrated. I'm going to find my ordering info and e-mail them about it.

When we use our little PictureMate to print them (4X6), we had to play with the scaling a bit to get them to print full. When we took our disk to Wal-Mart to get like 200 photos printed, they came out fine. I think it just has to do with individual printer settings.

I actually just got off the phone with Disney. We're all booked! We're staying at Pop in a preferred room because the standard was all booked up. The price they gave me over the phone was already the preferred price, so no crazy suprises there! I also tried to make some ADR's, but I only got one. I'm going to have to keep calling back for LeCellier, CP and CM. But, we got a very early dinner at Sci-Fi! I know that Madison will love it there and I haven't been in a long time. The CM on the phone was super sweet and she made sure she put my birthday in the ressie. This is going to be such an awesome trip!

It is a bit sad about the shares, but I can understand why they made the change.
I think I will try to convince my family to pre-order the CD for July, but I have a feeling they won't go for it. My Mom never wants to be in pictures anyways.
It was really nice for our honeymoon, but if we had paid the full price ourselves we would not have gotten are moneys worth. Mostly because Logan "didn't like" the characters, so that greatly reduced the number of PhotoPass locations we could take advantage of... I did force him into stopping for a couple, but only if the line was extra short.

We use a site called mpix.com to process our photos. It's professional quality prints. The prices are very reasonable and it shows you exactly what will be printed / cut off before printing it out. The only downside is shipping, but it does arrive two days after the order is placed. Just a thought.

I think that's perfect for a par-tay... especially a Disney summer partay! I'm just glad Logan and I got to ride just about everything in January, because we can take the Florida heat leisurely in July.

That's what we're thinking too. We rode everything we wanted, except for what was getting rehabed. If we get to ride those few things, have some good meals and take some goods pics...we'll be quite happy!

My mom asked basically if I would be driving everyone crazy during our next trip. That's exactly what I said. Basically, we'll want to ride Splash Mountain, see the Hall of Presidents, and the new American Idol experience, but that will be it.

I think I'm going to ask my SIL if she wants to split a photopass CD. Even if it's just half, it'd be good. Otherwise, I think we'll pre order this time anyway, we'll get some pretty Christmas shots, and with the CD, I can get my own Christmas cards done cheaper!

The things we missed were HoP (which will still be closed), Mickey's Philharmagic (we can't wait to see it), Ellen's Energy Adventure, Tricera Top Spin, Backlot Tour, Little Mermaid....I think that's it. At least those are the things we wanted to do which we down for refurb.

We'll be pre-ordering the photopass cd again. It was so worth it to us! We didn't get in on a share in Jan, but it didn't bother us. I'm hoping we get even MORE pictures this time! We hit up every photographer we saw, but they were pretty scarce when I think about it. I'm hoping there will be lots more this time around. I'm looking forward to getting a good pic in front of the sorcerer hat without a big blue fence around it and construction-like vehicles in the background!
