I know we go around and around with this....

but I would love to hang out with one of you during a snow storm. I would be so amazed to see snow fall so thick and stick to the ground.

The grass is always greener.....

I welcome any of you Southerners to come over and finish shoveling my driveway! Doesn't that sound fun???

I was just out for about a half hour and I look like a drowned rat! The snow is so wet and heavy, it's unbelievable!

It is awesome snowman snow, though...I bet I'll have a nice one to welcome y'all to my house about 15 minutes after DDs get home!

QOTD (can I play even though we don't celebrate Christmas?) - I love old movies & old movie musicals, so I have to say "White Christmas" and the movie which introduced that song, "Holiday Inn" (and also inspired the name of a hotel chain). Great choreography in both, from Vera Ellen and Danny Kaye in the former and Fred Astaire in the latter. And who can complain about Der Bingle?

Oh! Two of my FAVORITES!!! We always watch a Christmas movie every Christmas Eve. We usually put the name of a movie into a hat and pick one out. I always would put in "White Christmas" and no one else would want to watch it!

It's in the 40's here today which is miles better than yesterday! However, it's raining. Yuck! Nothing is worse than having snow on the ground and then rain on top. Slush= worst thing ever! I vote for B - get a town car. The past two times we have gone to disney we have used a town car service from the airport to the WL and then back to the airport. I really like the car service we use, they are very friendly and most importantly the cars are very clean...dont want to get any yucky germs on the way to disney!

We got our ME information last night!!!

We'll be at WL from Jan 17 - Jan 24 (with a one-night stay at POP on Jan 16). I last visited Disney about 20 years ago, and DH (55) has never been! This is a Christmas present for DS (7) and DD (5)

I can't wait to escape the cold and chaos of the DC metro area over inauguration week!

I'm going to the mall to pick up my mom's gift at Christopher and Banks and then get something for myself at Lane Bryant...have a great coupon that I get $25.00 for every $50.00 purchase...can't beat that. Then I'm going to go home and do some Christmas wrapping.

I can't wait to escape the cold and chaos of the DC metro area over inauguration week!

You sure are smart to get out of DC at that time!! What a fun trip you will have! Although I will dispute the "cold" part of DC! I always chuckle because I am from Minnesota, and spend a semester in DC my junior year of college. It snowed in December, maybe an inch, and my fellow Minnesotan friend and I went out to do stuff, and EVERYWHERE WAS CLOSED! We couldn't believe it! I guess they aren't well equipped to clear roads etc. but I laughed so hard. You have the Metro, people!! It shouldn't be so hard to get around. Oh well, we in MN think nothing of a couple inches. Plus it usually is warm enough in DC that it would melt pretty quickly.
My MIL and SIL that live in southern VA get a lot of ice storms that knock out power etc. So I guess there's severe weather one way or the other everywhere. Okay, I'm done ranting about weather! But it's worse here in Winter than a lot of places. Again, that's why we're going to WDW in January!

Word of advice DONT THROW IN YOUR YARD!! way too hard to get rid of the evidence! set on the sidewalk or in a bowl easier to sweep up. Just ask DH who spent an hour trying to pick it back up in below zero weather!

Metallic Rose (aka Pink). That is our gift to her. Santa is bringing everything else. Every year, her big gift has been from Santa. It's about time that we get it for her! We also got her a Littlest Pet Shop game and Carnival Games.

Well according to my Disney ruler we got 7" in the back yard. However it's been blowing around, so it was probably more.

I got stuck going to work this morning. Made it all the way there then got stuck on a tiny little incline in the parking lot...score!

Now I get to go outside and shovel...however I have no idea why since my father did it all already...


By the way, has anyone heard from Carrie (Peach3es)??? When was she supposed to be back on US soil???
