Hey Snowbirds,


We have flown AT quite a few times. DBiL is a private jet pilot so he is REAL picky about what co's he flies with. He loves them. They just flew down to Pensecola Fl for DN wedding. No issues going down but coming back they had to sit at the airport in GA for 9 hours!! First due to bad weather, then because the airline was trying to "combine" flights to save $$$$.

I used to live in South Hills too!! Of course that was about hmm well more years than i care to admit. We lived in South Park & then in Library.

Talked it over w/ DH about dining plan last night. Really leaning towards quick plan & paying OOP for a couple of "nice" TS instead.

Hoping to have the big pow wow w/ all that are going next week.

We have flown AT quite a few times. DBiL is a private jet pilot so he is REAL picky about what co's he flies with. . .

My DH is a corporate pilot. He's not particular about who he flies with when he flies commercially BUT because he spends so much time in the cockpit already, he'd much rather drive where ever. We are driving 15+ hours from PA to Disney. . . AGAIN!

I love to fly. I wish I had the opportunity to do so more often.

We always drive everywhere now. My DH has panic attacks when it comes to flying have to "sedate" him to get him on a plane. It took us 23 1/2 hours to drive last year. We tend to do the straight thru trips very few stop trips. On the bright side we tend to REALLY enjoy walking the parks. Nothing like sitting on your bumm for a day straight.

I am still not going to book my package until at least Oct/Nov after I wait and see what codes/discounts come out. I have my room ressie, so I am guaranteed a room at CBR! I am just very curious to see what the DDP prices and options are going to be like, then we can figure out what will be best and most cost efficient for us.

When the codes/discounts come out later in the year, can it be used on an existing package?

I completely know what you mean. We drive straight through. Granted, it's not 23 hours, but even so. 15 hours non stop in a car is a nightmare! We'll be driving over night so that DS, who will be 4 this month, will sleep most of the way.

We will definitely be looking forward to stretching our legs upon arrival!



On a side note . . . so glad to hear that packages will be released tomorrow My TA will hopefully book for me first thing Monday morning.

Good Morning Snowbirds!!

So . . . I came to the realization that MLK weekend could be quite nutso with all of the people who are wanting to have a long holiday weekend.

I decided that I'd rather deal with the smaller crowds for Marathon weekend.

That being said, our trip has changed to January 6-January 13. My TA, who is unavailable on Sundays has yet to hear my latest and greatest revelation. Hopefully she'll be able to come through with the room request we want. I don't care where, really, just so it's the Polynesian. I feel so bad for the poor TA. I've been a complete pain in the rump throughtout this process. She's been a trooper, though.

Our ADRs are pretty much the same, just bumped forward a week.

The 2009 Magic Your Way packages are up!! Rates are still not available on the Disney World website though, only info through www.wdwinfo.com.

I'm so confused!! When I first looked, 15 minutes ago, the Deluxe Dining plan info for 2009 didn't include an appetizer! Augh! Yet, the price had gone up. Augh!!!

But now, it does include an appetizer! Obviously things aren't quite finalised yet and they're still changing them. I guess maybe I better just wait and see. Looks like things will be happening very soon though!

I'd say they're changing things on the Disney World web page right now, as we speak!

Because if you type in your check in and check out dates for January 2009 on the front page (www.disneyworld.com), it then pops up with this message -

"Currently, Walt Disney World Resort Reservations are only available for check-in dates up to and including December 31, 2009. Please modify your dates accordingly."

2009!!!!! Yayyyyyy!!!

But not yay, because that doesn't make sense. Hopefully it will work soon!

Ooh, we did it!! Yay!!

If you go to the Disney World website, then click on the Resorts tab, 2009 prices will come up. You can access prices, etc, through that way, but not through the front page.

Weird!!

But yay! It only seems to have gone up a bit, as expected. Phew!! And they still have the same Deluxe Dining package! Phew!!!

Still no water park info for January though!!

I got my new rates this morning for my room only reservation for my upcoming january trip. I went from $505.00 a night (peak season before 09 rates released) to $340 a night with new 09 rates and AAA discount for a club level room at the Wilderness Lodge. I am so excited to go, especially now that I owe so much less.
