I think I'm going to do that. That way I'll remember everything for memories and also tips for the next time we go!

I did on the 2nd trip! My oldest has had to the last 2 trips for school. So I enjoy "helping" him with it!

I have a question about HDDR, we've never done it:
I know we can use ts credits for it, which I technically don't have b/c I can't add the ddp yet I believe it is 2ts credits in catagory 2 or 3?? Do we still have to provide a cc# when booking even if we are going to use ts credits?
We plan on using ts credits for HDDR and paying oop for CM and Sci-Fi b/c those meals are the cheaper ones. However, if I still need to use a cc# to book shouldn't I just pay for HDDR oop and do a catagory 1 seating instead? Any advice Snowbirds?

Hey SplashMtnCrew-

You have to provide a credit card and then when the plans FINALLY come out you call and they will refund the money to your card. I know because we booked HDDR tonight. The other day when we called for the rest fo our ADRs we couldn't for some reason book this one. So when we called tonight for our Yak and Yeti my BIL asked and got in for HDDR. We are going on the 15th. There were no tier ones left and we got the last table for six in tier two. Now we just need the hours to come out for DHS so we can book our fantasmic package and we are done. Well except the second guessing that you get to do for six months! Good luck with your ADRs.

So now everything I'm reading about the ADR change seems to be that the change won't start until July 31 or August 1. I did notice that nothing changed on the alleged July 16 date.

It's looking better for most of us, anyway! I guess it could maybe possibly affect those whose arrival dates are January 27 or 28 or later if I figured it out right.

Who knew that planning a nice vacation would be so mentally taxing???

Morning, Snowbirds!

Is it January yet?

I get more and more impatient as the days go by.

DS and I made a huge paper chain to count down the days and it doesn't appear to be getting any shorter. It's currrently draped all over DS's bedroom, floor to ceiling.

I am getting impatient too!! We decided last night that we'd tell our dds on Christmas morning......we'll have fun finding just the right gifts to help them figure it out.

I made another ADR today, for Raglan Road!

We ate there in 2006 and had a fantastic meal, so we're very excited about this reservation!

On Sunday we get to make our final ADR for Yak & Yeti, and then I'll be done!

(We made all our other ADR's with the 180 +10 rule, but Raglan Road and Yak & Yeti don't play by that rule, so we had to ring up again exactly 180 days in advance. Whew!)

AussieAngel-What time is it there? You must have to call at some crazy time! My DH listens to a morning show from Australia on the internet every day, it must be during the afternoon here? And maybe tomorrow's show? Weird.

I didn't know Raglan Road didn't do the 180+10 rule. We're considering it, what did you have to eat when you were there? That chicken pot pie thing...Eye in the Pie...Pie in the Sky...Sky in the Eye...whatever, looks so awesome to me!

Congrats on the ADRs. I need to call next Friday for ours if the rules stay the same, but I may just try to sneak in there a couple days before .

Hey trixiequilts!

Right now, it's 1.03am on Saturday morning. Waaah! I guess I should be in bed!

When it's 7am in Orlando, it's 9pm here. So we call at 9pm when we want to make ADR's. Not too bad, really!

Which radio show does your DH listen to? How funny!

Last time we went to Raglan Road, I had Dalkey Duo for appetizers (little battered sausages - yum!), Keen Eye for the Shepherd's Pie, and a Bailey's Creme Brulee tart for dessert. Here, I'll post my photos...!

Yum!!! I highly recommend Raglan Road! It had a nice, relaxed vibe too. Great place to sit back and enjoy some delicious food and good drinks after a busy day at the parks!

Good morning Snowbirds! Boy January seems so far off when it is 90 degrees here before noon!

SplashMtn - Sorry I don't know anything about the HDDR. We haven't done it yet. Sounds like fun though!

Laumau - Did you watch the Disney planning DVD yet???

Again, congrats to everyone making their ADR's! Although I am a bit jealous!

I still don't know about this ADR thing. I really hope I am able to sneak in there under the wire before all the changes. The latest thing I read about it said that the latest ADR that was going to be able to be made was for January 25th. Well the last ADR I need to make is for the 26th. . . Will they let me go ahead and make all mine or not??? Plus I want to make an ADR for Mama Melrose Fantasmic package, and I guess I probably can't because of the no park hours thing. . . And then when they release the park hours they will then be under the 90 day ADR and then I won't be able to make that ADR until October, right??? I am seriously starting to stress over this!

DH listens to Nova 96.9 from Sydney. He was in Australia for 3 weeks for a college art class riding his bike around and taking photographs (seems like a hundred years ago). He still talks about it a lot and now DD8 wants to go really bad. I told her it's going to be years before we can do it. We're thinking when the DDs are in high school. Personally, I'm hoping to stay a week or so in Hawaii, seeing as we need to stop there anyway.

Why don't you give them a call and ask, if you're feeling a bit worried about it? I'd guess that you should be able to make all your ADRs, since you would fall under the 180 +10 category. But... if they're going to be really strict about the 90 day thing, then I don't know either! Eeek!

Momof2~ I tried to book Mama Melrose/Fantasmic yesterday ~ no luck; like you said, they said they can't until park hours come out....

So I booked a ressie at Prime Time ~ I know they don't participate in Fantasmic, but I really kind of want to eat there......and now I have a ressie if I want it. I can always cancel if we decide to do Fantasmic!

Yay, you should definitely do a trip to Australia one day, with a stopover in Hawaii! We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon in January, and had a blast. Imagine all the Nova radio programs your DH could listen to if you came to Australia!! We have a Nova station here in Melbourne too, so he'd be all set!

The Pie in the Sky is what I hope to try at Raglan Road this time too!! It does look very yummy. I love chicken pot pies, and we don't really have them in Australia. I just had a quick look at the kids menu, and it looks quite good. Like little versions of the adults' menu!

I have to make my ADRs next week, and I'm having a terrible time deciding what to do with no park hours! I've got last year's park hours, but of course there's no guarantee that EMH will be on the same days. I just hope I won't have to change too much once park hours are finally released!

I also won't know if we're doing the dining plan til the details regarding the 2009 plan are released. I could have DH get an annual pass and a DDE card, but then if they offer free water parks like they did last year, we'll probably do a package instead. Don't they realize I need details NOW?!?!?!
