Is it just Airtran that moves flights or do all do it? My parents are looking to fly Southwest.

it is NOT just airtran! most airlines at some point have to change things up. Especially right now with fuel prices so high, they have to do what is most cost effective for themselves. Don't forget, airlines are a profit making business! They have to do what they can to make money! It is frustrating to have your plans changed without notice, I completely agree! Knowing that is isn't just Airtran helps me to be a little bit less frustrated! HTH! :)

COMPLETELY changed our transportation plans :cool1: I've decided to just suck it up and pay to fly. No more driving from PA business.

Now we are officially booked and ready to go. This will be our first experience with ME. Any advice?

With my luck, this will be the year that we get a HUGE snow storm, starting on January 6th at 1 am or something crazy like that. Our flight takes off out of HIA at 6:30 am :scared1: It's a good thing I'm a morning person.

Oh, yeah, baby! It's official now! :thumbsup2

Aww, what a cutie!!

Thank you! :goodvibes

I loved the pics. Why did you take them down.

We have the same build a bear outfit and it is hard to imagine a real person putting that on. TOO CUTE!

I didn't realize they were so big and didn't want to annoy anyone. Here they are, with an extra from nap time last week. :cutie:

In our house, Mickey is known as "Go Go" because Belle wants to "go go" see him. Seriously, she named him that herself. :cutie: Smart little girl!

Besides being shorter than a train ride, another nice thing about Northwest is that they do contact their customers when their flights have changed. Air Tran NOT doing that is a serious customer service problem -- grrrrr....

yet another wonderful thing about this board -- keeping the airlines on their toes!

I'm so glad you said that Debbieandroo...I'm flying NW and was going to ask how to find out if my flight time had changed. I guess they'll let me know, which is great!

She is precious! I love her sweet little smooshed up face in that picture!

Here's one of my little guy with HIS Mickey. It was from back at Christmas. He has another Mickey, as well. He sleeps every night with "Big Mickey and Little Mickey" He makes both my husband and myself kiss them before bed.
I'd do anything for my little guy!

Thanks Mindy! Doesn't it just melt you heart to see them love Mickey the way we do?!?!

I cannot wait to take Belle to Disney. I cry just thinking about it!

Hi everyone, I just found this thread. We are headed down from NH from Jan 23-Feb 1st staying at SSR. MoMof2DisneyBoys, I just saw your post about your flights. This happened to us and I called Airtran and told them that the change wasn't going to work and they put me on another non stop flight at no charge. She said that if it happened again to call back and they would continue to switch me to what worked at no fees. I hope you find a flight that works.

WELCOME 3amigos!! :goodvibes I added you to the Snowbirds list!! So glad to have you here!

Good morning Snowbirds! :goodvibes

Just home from Church. Should be a lazy day here! We spent the whole day in Pittsburgh yesterday, so we are going to hang around home today. It was a very fun day, but very exhausting!!

Okay, so here's my latest airline info: We totally cancelled with AirTran. They moved our 6:30 flight up to 4:30 and we were leaving after school and work that evening, so there was no way we could make the 4:30 flight. Plus they moved our flight home from 10 to 8am! Which means ME would pick us up at CBR at 5am  ! No thanks. I just told them that none of their flights worked for us and they said that they would cancel it out and refund my credit card. So now I wait to see when that actually happens. . . 7-10 business days. . . We just didn't want to have them keep changing our flights around and worrying about it for the nest 5 months.

Then we went ahead and booked with SW. They have an early morning flight down on the day that we wanted to go anyway. So now we are back to leaving on the 21st, instead of arriving late on the 20th. Which is better all around. But the SW flights were $109 each, so we ended up paying $192 total extra for airfare. But, with arriving the next morning we now will save $269 on our WDW package. So I guess it all works out. Plus, with flying mid-week it is pretty likely that we will get a Ding from SW on our flights and end up paying even less.

Hi, Snowbird peeps! Hope all is well with you this Sunday! It's about 6:15pm here and I spent my day writing thank you notes for financial donations, answering e-mails, and blogging. Just trying to get caught up with work that was missed while we were away.

Question of the day. Anyone have one?

Of course, my day is nearing an end. Maybe I should think of a question of the day!:rotfl:

I just read through the last couple of pages real quick. But wanted to say - very cute pictures!! :cloud9: And I think someone asked about ME. ME is great! :goodvibes We have always had good experiences with ME. They have always had us to our resort in about 1 1/2 hours from the time we have landed in Orlando.

I was re-reading most of this thread last night...you are hilarious! And I can't believe you have 4 kids under the age of 10! You're my hero! :worship:

Hi Everyone,

I just found this thread, a little late to the game, but thankfully I didn't completely miss it. I started reading the first few pages, but realize there's no way I'm going to make it all the way through. Are there any highlights I should be aware of?

Anyway, my husband and I will be staying at the AKL savanna view from Jan 12-19, and also (no yelling please:laughing: ) ) will be staying at Universal's Royal Pacific Resort from the 09th checking out on the 12th. It'll be our first on site visit to Universal and I'm sure it will make for an interesting review.

We just made our dining reservations yesterday:
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Hoop De Doo
50's Prime Time Cafe
Biergarten (lunch)
San Angel
Chefs de France
Chef Mickeys (Breakfast)
Kona
Artist Point

We've been to all except for Chef Mickeys and San Angel. I had originally tried to get Le Cellier but they were all booked so went for Chefs de France instead. I'm contemplating switching it for Coral Reef (which we've done and enjoyed), or Akershus or the pub (which we haven't done). The Akershus cuisine sounds nice, but it'd just be DH and I and is that weird with just princesses? We're all about character meals but this would be very girly for the husband. I would probably do Tokyo Dining but literally eat sushi several times per week at home so think it's probably a good idea to venture out a bit!

Phew...I think that brings me up to speed on this side of things! :goodvibes

Thanks for starting this thread!

By the way- any rumors about Pirates and Princess for January?? :cloud9:

Glad to see you are official!!! Isn't that a great feeling! No more iffy's!! We've done ME several times and all have been good. I see that some people get their luggage to the room in about an hour and a half---we are always at the 3 hour mark. Don't know if the resort you are at makes a difference or not. It's really a relief not to have to drag that luggage around. I have read where some people go down and get their bags and stow them under the bus, but I just prefer not having to deal with it!! :sad2:
