Long time lurker, just looking for advise about crowds and weather in January???

I will tell you that January weather in Orlando is completely unpredictable. You could have warm days with cool mornings, or you could have mornings near freezing with afternoons in the 40s. Your best bet is to check a forecast a day or so before you leave.

January crowds are pretty light once you get past the weekend after New Year's.

We went this year in January...actually the 20th for a week and the weather was fabulous. We wore shorts or capris every day and tshirts. We would take jackets/sweaters but rarely needed them. We swam eevery afternoon in the cbr pool and it was sunny. One day of rain...one evening of rain but great weather.
We are planning on 10 nights next January!
ALso....buses and parks were quiet!

We were there 7 days Jan 14. 80 degrees all most everyday we were there but the weather can be crazy.

We were there Jan. 5-11 this past year. We had mid-80's, then low 60's then low 70's during our trip. No rain though!!! Our biggest shock was how cold the 60's felt after our first few 80 degree days! We're from Wisconsin and 60's is warm!! But we were cold on those evenings! We even brought a blanket into the park for the strollers for my DD4 and DS7! Just something to think about if as you get closer, the temps start higher and end lower.

Were going back this January too and we'll pack for anything and everything

Thank you for the welcome and the answers. We have always been during the first of Novmber for the Wine and Food festival, but the crowds were getting more than I wanted, so I thought we might try for the middle of January.
