We're going Dec 28th-Jan 3rd
Any suggestions from seasoned new-years partiers?

We're not sure the best plan of action for Dec 31st... we've made dinner reservations for 8:30 (give or take- I'd have to find my confirmation) at Crystal Palace and plan to see the Fantasy In The Sky Fireworks at Magic Kingdom.

We went in '06 for the Mickey's Halloween bash and LOVED it... went again for Easter this year and were amazed at how much more crowded and unpredictable it was. I'm assuming New Years will be similarly packed?

We're booked from January 8-16 at ASMU. We reserved 2 family suites!! Stayed there in Nov. of 06 and can't wait to get back HOME!!!

We're staying at the Poly from Jan. 16-20 and leaving for the Disney Cruise. There are 15 of us going. A magical time for most of us since it will be our first time.

DH, DD and I will be there from Jan 20th - 29th at Animal Kingdom Villas!! Yeah!!!

And I got a guaranteed Savannah View!! Here's to a few nights at my favorite restaurant Boma and hopefully a P&P party.

Update:

Add Jan 19th. Got a better flight price if left on Saturday, so add a one night stand at Pop Century then AKV for 10 days.

Yeah like someone had to twise my arm for another day in my Happy Place!!!

Hey Everyone!

My family and I will be there January 10-15, 2008. I am running the 5K at Animal Kingdom. Last year I ran the Half Marathon, but didn't enjoy it as much because a majority of the race was on the highway. In 2006, I ran the 5K that went through EPCOT.

We are staying at the Beach Club Villas, as we are DVC members.

I have booked a Specialty Wishes Cruise for our family of 4 on 1/11/08. It holds up to 10 people, so I am looking for up to 6 people to help defray the costs ($275). We are going to the Spirit of Aloha first, so the boat departs from the Poly Marina, and of course children are welcome. My daughter is 7, My son, 6.

We are going 25th - Feb 1. DD16's first trip. Last Jan stayed @ ASMo in toystory(loved it) . DD7 was lucky enough to be able to wake up tinkerbell.
This time @ BWV now DVC members. cant wait for "welcome home". Is anyone brave enough to do much swimming?

we booked jan 10-13th at pop, but we have to see about our free plane tickets yet (they've been having issues with the company who is handling the tickets) if we're really going or not. if they don't go through, i might just suck it up and buy plane tickets anyway. i want a vacation. haha.

Is anyone brave enough to do much swimming?

we stayed at wl last year over mlk weekend and went swimming at night! it actually wasn't too bad during the day though (mid 70's to low 80's). we were always wearing either capris or shorts and tees. my boyfriend just didn't want to swim with all the little kids in the afternoon when we were back at the hotel.

Myself and three friends just booked our trip for Jan 9-13th!! (Wish it could be longer, but that's all we could get out of work for, right after the holidays and all!)

We'll be staying at the Carribean Beach Resort and visiting MK, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and MGM. I can't wait!! I've been to WDW plenty of times before, but we do have one member of our party who has never been...that's one of the most exciting parts, traveling with someone seeing DW for the first time!!

According to disneyworld.com, the Pirates and Princess parties will be coming again in 2008. A partial list of dates: January 21, 26; February 2, 9, 14, 22; March 1, 6, 11, 14. NOTE: These dates are tentative -- a full list of party dates will be announced soon
