STEVEMD
Thanks for your post. We aregoing the same time as you and this gives me hope things will be great crowd wise. All these posts about weird no room availability is scaring me!

Will you be able to just buy park tickets and get the upgrade?

Nope, the discount code will be good for Magic Your Way packages ONLY.

Okay, so if you're currently booked somewhere else (offsite or DTD), should you book a package before the code is announced with a basic ticket and then call after Nov 1 for the upgrade? I'm just wondering about availability. Anyone???

My hubby has a conference in Orlando, so we are taking all of the girls for their first trip to Florida...which of course, means Disneyworld. My question to you all is this: Should I book and pay for my resort NOW or wait until I get a code? I'm assuming these codes are for discounts? I would like to stay at a Moderate Resort, and of course would LOVE to save $$$... I'm not sure if this is an appropriate place to post, but any tips or suggestions would be great! (you can send me a pm :o)

Thanks!!

Amy, 3 DD's aged 11, 5 and 3 months! :Pinkbounc

I would go ahead and book, and then when a code comes out you can have it applied to your reservation if it's available.

Just called CRO and no codes yet!Where are they? I hope it will be soon. We waited and waited for AP codes last July and none came out! Oh well at least we have AAA. :confused3

I already have a res for January 1st -9th. I have called and asked several times about codes. Now considering how we always get different answers depending on who you talk to, this is what was said. The current discount is good until December 23. The CM's said that they wont put up a new code until the other one has expired, look for one at the end of December. This is just what about 5 people said. I dont know what will happen. I do know that our last payment is due by November 15th or so. So unless they surprise us and do something sooner, those of us with a January 1st ressie will not have a good chance of a discounted package.
Our trip is booked with AAA and has saved 200.00.

OK i see online it's 210 cheaper but i don't see a code!
i called and they said it would be listed on the website?

Could the discount be the insurance? Just curious, I know I have made that mistake before.

Hi KrissyLynne. The current discount is good through Dec 23 but you have to book it by 10/29. So I think that the new codes will become available after that date. In fact, judging by the way the Canadian offer is worded, I think we'll see the codes released on 11/2 or 11/3. Let's hope so! :hourglass

This is correct, although I believe you have until 10/31 to book that deal. New codes for us January people should be available any time after November 1.

...booked Jan 28-Feb 3 at POFQ through AAA. When a code comes out, will I call AAA and have it applied or will I have to cancel through AAA and call WDW reservations?

Also, if I want to change resorts (depending on the discount), how will that work?

Sorry to be so clueless, I just want to get the best deal! :cool1:

TIA,
Jenn

No I booked the insurance and chose that in my online quote. This is confusing! I guess I am going to have to call and ask, which is always interesting because every person tells you something different!

I'm not sure if you'll have to cancel with AAA, I'd call and ask, I booked my AAA rate threw CRO,
If you change resorts, you'll cancel you're reservation and make a new one.
We've all been clueless at some point and will probably be in the future.

Sure thing. Here goes:

Disney's Pop Century Resort

I've been following the discussion about Januzry 2007 codes and would like to use one too.

I'm planning to go to WDW January 20 - 28, 2007. I already have my plane tickets - got a great price and locked them in.

What should I do about the Disney reservations? Want to stay at POR. Should I book now and see if a code comes up, or wait for the code before booking the vacation?

If I book the Disney package now, will there be an extra charge or any other type of complication if I call back later with a code?

BOBPE931.....I booked POR for Jan20-26 and am waiting to have the code added.
I had to put a deposit of 200usd down but it is refundable if I change my mind before the final amount is due.
I was told to get the booking and you can add/change codes afterwards but it is generally harder to get the booking you want.
The computers were down when I booked but the girl doing the res. put the canadian code on my file and said when it was entered it would have the code attached.
The only problem I have been having is that when I called to check this out...I was told until I get my res. # in the mail they are unable to look/pull up my reservation. This could take a while I'm thinking and if for some reason the code hasn't been put on or the res. is flawed then it could be a bit of bother getting it rectified.
Oh. well. I would say book now.

That's almost a $200 savings over my AAA quote.
