Will I need EP on the above dates? I'm thinking yes, and if so, I guess I'll cough up the $454 for a stay at RP. What do you experts think?

We are travelling with friends. My room will be me and my three kids. It makes better sense to stay at RP than book Cabana Bay and pay for Universal Express for the two days. When I did the math, basic EP was close to 519. The room is $454.

My friend is travelling with her daughter. Is she better off at Cabana Bay paying for Express Pass? I don't think so. Her EP would come to about $260.
