I'm looking forward to my first cruise in January 18th & sending a :wave2: to anyone else planning to sail on the WONDER on that date.

Hi there... I think that there was another post on this cruise that I found the other day. I am so glad that you will will be joining us on this cruise. Me and my fiancee' (Then will be husband) will be on this one too as part of our Honeymoon.. I am sooooooo excited!!! We are getting married at the wedding Pavilion at WDW and then will join you all on the cruise a few days later. It is going to be so much fun..... Since this is your first Disney Cruiselet me tell you there is no other cruise line like it. They have the best service in the world. You will never wanna go back to any other cruise line again.... :cool1: :rotfl: :teeth:  :cheer2: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :bounce:

Hi Eeyore! How exciting to be getting married :bride: , AND at WDW! I'll be there 14-17 (AKL), before the cruise... maybe I'll see you!

What deck are you on? I'll be on deck 8 with my traveling buddies (women of a certain age). I spent my honeymoon on the Queen Mary (in dock) and our neighbors pounded on the walls and told us to "keep it down" - I wish you the same (wink, wink)!

-Denise

We will be spending 2 nights of our Honeymoon at AKL January 15-17 as well. It is a good possibility that we may cross paths. We got a Savannah View room for 2 nights. We will be spending our wedding night at the Grand Floridian Resort and then moving to the AKL. We will then run back to West Palm to repack and head to Port Canaveral to get on the boat. We will be in a Verandah room on deck 7. We were on this same deck on the Magic back in January this year and it was great. I am getting so excited that I just don't know what to do.... :dance3:

I will keep my eyes out for you! In your picture it looks like you have beautiful red hair. That should make you easy to spot, that and your wedding glow! :goodvibes - Denise :hourglass Counting the hours!

Bumping this Up...... Is there anyone else out there joining us.... I leave in 2 days for my first of 2 cruises in 3 months on the Wonder... If there are any newbies put there joining us please feel free to say hello and ask questions.. :yay:

Hi folks. First Disney cruise for us. We are traveling w/o kids this time and are looking forward to experiencing Disney from an adult perspective (read - not commando style). Wishing you the best with the upcomming marriage and hope the "ladies of a certain age" have a great time too.

OK now I know that there are more than just 3 people on the Wonder on the 18th of January..... Where is everyone :sad2: I am starting to think that we are going to be very lonely on there.... I need some people to share the excitment with. I just got off the Wonder for a 4 day Cruise a few days ago and I am sooooo excited to get back on again so soon... So all you people that will be sharing this cruise with me Let me know that you are out there.... :cheer2:

Hi all. We just got off the Magic, and we are doing it all again on the Wonder with you.

Ahoy fellow DISers! It's so nice to "meet" you  So far our little :grouphug: includes:
dlotter (aka women of a certain age): 5 woman "girls" trip, CA, IL (2), FL, MD, deck 8.
Eeeyore77: soon-to-be-newlyweds & repeat cruisers, FL, deck 7.
MegsMa: parents-cruising-solo: PA
sami90tsi: first-time-cruisers, NY

I'm planning to make our Palo reservation tomorrow at midnight. I'm going to try for a Saturday reservation, early seating. I hope I get it!

I'm also looking forward to getting my "fix" several times a day at the Cove Cafe :cool1: ,plan to treat Nassau as a sea day, and will try to stay as immobile as possible on Castaway Cay.

Four of us are first time cruisers... we have one cruise harlot (don't tell her I called her that! I just mean that she is an experienced cruiser!)

My "baby" is turning 23 this weekend, so no little ones at home for me. I do however spend my days with six year olds. I teach first grade! :teacher:

Hi sami90tsi and Denise,

I am so glad that there are more people joining our Cruise Meet thread. Like I said I thought wow this is going to be a quiet cruise.... :rotfl: No one on board and all. Chris and I booked all of our stuff the other night. You get to book a few days sooner if you are Castaway Club....

***We are going to Palo at 7:30 on Friday night.

***I have booked a Massage at the Vista Spa on Saturday at 5:45. That will be just after the ship leaves CC and I will need a last minute relaxation just knowing that I will have to get of the ship again... LOL

***Lastly on the CC day we have booked Castaway Cay Island Cruise. It leaves at 1:15. We saw this before we left on our last cruise but then it was all filled up and we were too late.

All of these things could change but we wanted to get things before they were scooped up. They are pretty solid though for now.

sami90tsi (What is your first name?) How did you like your cruise on the Magic? Was it Eastern or Western? We did the Western in January of this year and it was heaven. I never wanted to get off the ship. :guilty:

We too plan to treat Nassau as a sea day as we didn't enjoy it all when we were there last time.... We also look forward to the Beach Blanket Buffet up on deck 9. They even had sushi at lunch one day.

Do you guys have early or late seating?

Anyway, I am looking forward to talking with ya'll more. See there is the NC girl coming out in the new FL resident.... LOL

Hi Jennifer (Eeyore77), Samantha (sami90tsi) & MegsMa,

We have the main (early) seating. One in our group, my MIL, will be turning 82 in December and I thought that the early seating would be the best option for her. Three of us (two of her daughters & myself) are treating her to this cruise. She is VERY excitied about it. She grew up in Chicago & is quite a character. She's been shopping for the cruise and says that she wants a RED dress for dress-up night. :)

I did think about doing the Island cruise at Castaway Cay. Can you tell me anything about it?

Next time I'll get to be a Castaway Club member & book early! I reeeaallly want to go on the transatlantic repo cruise in May, but it is just a wish at this point *sigh* I was reading about another DIS member who travels with her service dogs & was hoping for someone to share a cabin. I was just about ready to volunteer but as I read further on, I saw that she had to cancel her plans. It might not be the best thing to room with a stranger. I am a dog lover though, & "mommy" to a golden retriever.

Hello to all. It's quite exciting to read about the folks we'll be sharing a ship with! DH and I have been on one cruise prior to this. That was on our honeymoon some twentysome years ago. We promised ourselves that we would go again. Then life happened and mortgages, kids, college tuition, etc came along. Well, the "kids" are all grown and gainfully employed (and I might add, a little surprised that we didn't include them in these plans) so DH and I decided to take a break for ourselves and include a Disney cruise as part of it. Sounds like most of you have lots of plans already made. We, on the other hand, haven't made any !LOL! I'm just looking forward to not having to plan or prepare meals, not having to awaken according to some silly buzzer on a clock, and just lazing around, doing whatever strikes our fancy at any given moment. Oh, and getting away from our current jobs is a big plus too! We are also scheduled for the main seating for dinner. We've requested to be included at a large table, so perhaps we will be meeting up with some of you. I think our group sounds rather pleasantly diversified.

We are Samantha, Randy, DS Zack(4), and DD Anna(2).
We did the oct 21-28 Magic Western and had an absolute blast.

Don't worry about the thread. It will get going. Just check out our last one! 28 pages!!!

I was just a member of the group that went on the DVC members cruise and that thread is I think close to 2000 pages long. They were a really fun group to cruise with.... I am looking forward to getting to know a few more of my fellow dis members on this trip.

This is getting to be a crazy time for Chris and me with the wedding being so close and all.... :bride: We are soooooo excited and looking forward to getting to start our lives together in our favorite places on earth. WDW and DCL.... We will be very obvious in the Terminal as we will have on the Bride and Groom ears and Wedding Shirts..... It will be great.

As for what I most look forward to it is the whole DCL experience..... There is nothing like it. The food, the shows, etc.... Palo will be our romantic night together, But if it messes up our night at Animators Palate I will be canceling it real quick. That place is my favorite.

So everyone tell us a little about yourself. I am a newly relocated FL resident from Raleigh, NC. I moved here a few monthes ago to be with my fiancee'. We are both TV News Photographers for a local TV station here and this is where the job oppurtunity was. Plus it is just over 2 hours to Disney. I have been a Disney Crazed Fan most of my life and I am soooooo Lucky to have found a man that will put up with and evern like to go to WDW. He is the one that bought into DVC. Plus I am more lucky that he would let me have the wedding of my Dreams at WDW. :Pinkbounc

I just wanna get back on the Wonder again!!!!!!!! :dance3:

Hello everyone!

We just booked the 1/18 Wonder last night. This cruise is a Christmas present for our DD (12.) She's talked about nothing but DCL since we took our first cruise in 2005. Sure makes the Christmas shopping easy!

So now I need to scramble and figure out what excursions to book, what weight clothes to pack for January, etc. Looks like I'll be hitting the SEARCH feature on the DIS Board a lot. :surfweb:

Cheryl

Right after I got done booking excursions I discovered my DD has exams the week we were booked. So I've changed our ressie to 2/1/07. I hope you all have a great time on the Wonder 2 weeks ahead of us.
