This day in Disney History
1996-At Disneyland Paris, a "Fairy Tale Festival" celebrating the magic of great European storytellers begins. The attraction includes a full sized gingerbread house and a candy apple tree in Fantasyland, plus a daily wedding ceremony between Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip next to the castle. The celebration runs for almost 4 months until April 4th, 1996.

He is of course Disneyland Paris's very own Prince !

HRH Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud who in 1994 bought approximately 10% of Eurodisney shares. He also invested an additional $100million to finance the construction of the Newport Bay Club Convention Center.
His current stake stands at 17.3%.
Outside of the Walt Disney Co. he is the largest single shareholder and with his support Eurodisney was brought back from the brink of bankruptcy.
