Were only planning one day at Universal doing a park to park ticket. There's 4 of us- a 4 yr old, a 12 yr and 2 adults. Ideally we'll spend most of the time in Diagon Alley. I know the park will probably be crowded but just wondering if it's very crowded/unmanageable? Any tips to get through the day in the most efficient manner to get the most out of the day? I understand my 4 yr old probably wont be able to ride much but we've been promising my son a trip to Harry Potter land for awhile

I don't think crowds will be too bad on this day as it is the Monday AFTER most people will have gone back home from Christmas/New Years vacation.

I think it will be fairly quiet/manageable on this day.

Would we be able to purchase a 2 day park to park and do Jan 7th and then use the second tick on Jan 12? I figure Jan 12th would be quieter since it's during the marathon

Yes. All days on a multi-day ticket typically need to be used within 7 days of the first day of use, so going on both the 7th and 12th would work.

Use the child swap rooms

Your older child can ride a second time with the other adult while the 4 yo waits with other parent in the swap room
