Our first stop after check in was MGM Studio.

Place was really nice different then i thought it was going to be.
Rockin Roller Coaster was closed for the season so we didnt get to ride that. We also missed the 2 stunt shows Grr. I'll explain that in a sec.

Tower of Terror was really nice. I myself enjoy how disney has all these rides decorated. You walk in to the line cue and it looks like your in an old hotel from the 50s. I mean complete with lighting and everything. they make it so rustic looking.

After you exit the Tower of Terror they is a real nice ice cream stand for the kids and its cheap. I think it was 2.50 for a bowl. Well in grand disney fashion they take care of the kids. Children get this huge bowl of ice cream 3 scoops and its topped with a sugar cone. I wish i could remember the name of the place. but if you were walking away from the tower ride its on the right hand side of the road first concession stand.

After that we made our way back to main street. Everyday at 3:00 pm they have a parade called "Disney Stars and Motor cars" some how my 8 year old found out about the parade before we got to disney. So it was a must. Get there early and get a seat on the curb so your kids can interact with the characters.

After that we made our way to the show "Voyage of the Little Mermaid" Now you must understand that my daughter and I both love the movie. We watch it all the time so that was some great daddy daughter time. The show was cute. It's like a marionette show all the players are dressed in black and they maneuver the puppets around, looks like they are dancing and singing. All the important scenes from the movie are part of the show. Grab a fast pass for this one and while you wait go check out Narnia.

Narnia to me was a time killer. Not that great but worth checking out if your waiting for a fast pass time to come up. Looks cool but nothing much to it. i figured it would be a walk through the wardrobe closet and into the magical land of narnia but nothing like that. you walk though the door and into a big room, the princess (i think) appear up top and tells a little story then you see clips from the movie. not much to it like i said its a time killer.

Next we headed to Indania Jones.... Closed... we missed the last show. Then we went to the other stunt show Lights.Motors.Action. Closed.. Missed the last show as well. They last showing for both is roughly 5:00 due to daylight availability. i would get there get a fast pass for both so you dont miss them. the better of the two is Lights motors actions from what everyone says.

Star Tours was next. Once again the interior of the ride is fantastic. all kinds of star wars items from c3p0 and r2d2 to ships and lesser known droids. This is a simulation ride where you are in a fighter ship and end up going in a blowing up the death star. was neat and the kids loved it.

We were down there rifht after christmas and they had "The Osbourne festival of lights". Now if you never saw the video clip of the house that was decorated and the whole thing was set to the music of Trans Siberian Orchestra look it up on youtube. Disney had a whole area of MGM decorated like this and set to different christmas music. WOW, that is all i can say WOW. This was just an amazing sight. It made me fell like it was christmas again but without snow. BUT WAIT.. what is christmas with out snow? Yes my friends Disney made it snow. was a sight to see.

In the toy story area there is a pizza shop next to an arcade called woodys blah blah blah. something like that. we spent like 25 bucks there, 4 person pizzas, 4 garden salads, 2 sodas. cheap eats for Disney. then headed back to the hotel to change and take a trip to downtown disney.

Downtown Disney is divided into 2 parts east and west. we went to the family side which was the east side. didnt go to pleasure island or anything like that. but it was nice to see. the kids loved the lego store. the rainforest cafe was real nice. nice saltwater fish tanks there. Did a little shopping and went back to the resort and went to bed. we were beat. not to bad for our first day.

more tommorow

Not bad at all.....you did alot with your time too.....thanks for posting.

Its to bad you missed on RnR coaster....it was shut down for a few weeks for rehab.......I wonder what they are doing....
