Jan 24th through 31st - or - Jan 30th through - Feb 6th??

I can't decide between these two weeks. We're currently booked for Jan 30-Feb6 but want to attend DAH and that means we would have to go on our first night, after a long day of traveling. But I can't get a reasonable priced flight out a day earlier. I could shift to Jan 24-31, which would give us two opportunities to attend DAH, but it looks like it might be more crowded that week.

I'm not sure whether more crowded is relative because it's a low crowd time of year overall or if there is something going on that week that I should be mindful of. Any insights on whether one of these weeks would be better than the other or are they about the same?

I'm planning to buy my plane tickets today and then I'm locked in.

Doesn't seem one week to the next, in this case makes much difference as long as there are no holidays or events going on.

Stay away from Presidents day but that is Mid-Feb.

We like the first week of February better than the last week of January. There were less tour groups the first week in February and we had a little bit warmer weather then, too.

I honestly don't think it matters. The weather that time of year is hit or miss, either week. Just stay far far away from President's Day.

Between those two it really won't matter.
BTG are there through January until around 3rd week of February.
Neither have a holiday and most US schools don't break yet.
Biggest difference may be your hotel price.
I would go with what works best for what you want to do.

We are there 1/27 thru 2/3/ The first week of February would probably be better. I believe there are slight crowd increases the last week of January due to Pro Bowl on 1/28. Either week is likely fine though. I do know the crowd calendars show the first part of my trip busier than the last part.

Thank you all for the input. I decided to stick with the 30th and I just bought my plane tickets. Super excited. Hopefully the weather won't be bad. Yikes, that's a scary thought.

Right there with you AFlyingbuttress! Arriving 2/3.....and hoping weather allows flights......February tends to have snow here in Pennsylvania.......
