Jan. 22- 29 , 2011 Western Caribean Cruise on the Disney Magic!!!

These are car wash pants....
carwashpants.jpg

I would imagine because of the pannels that hang down over the pants kind of like at a car wash?.... :confused3 Just my guess. Mine do not have the tie on the waist though.

I promise I will not come to dinner naked any night on the cruise! You can hold me to that... :rotfl2:

o i think i actually have a pair of those just didnt know they were called car wash pants.

Ha ha ha! Seriously...
After about, oh, three hours of trying to read this entire thread (with little side-trips to the many included links), I am once again on DCL message-board overload. Despite reading the instructions for responding to many posts at once, I still couldn't manage to figure it out but I'll keep trying. In the meantime...

Kelli, I sent you an e-mail from my gmail account with all our details for the FE exchange. Thanks for letting us join in! Also, I think I saw that you posted an earlier message about people who play spades. I love to play! And one more thing...the "Wilmington" in my screen name is Wilmington, NC, so I am glad to see another Carolina Girl will be on the ship. ;)

I don't think I can come up with eight more random things to post, so until I am part of the in-crowd I will just have to e-mail I guess. I did manage to make myself a little signature line, though, so there's that. You're all kind of intimidating with your 900,000 posts and your dancing emoticons. I can work Facebook like a pro, but I seriously feel like a total dork on here! But that won't keep me from posting.

Oh, and please forgive me if I ask a question that has already been answered. I really will try to read the entire thread, but I might not succeed. I do have to: shop (for 3), pack (for 3), get passports (what?), berate my TA for not hooking me up with any KSF promos, find/buy a FE, lose about 20 lbs, and the list goes on. I will definitely stay caught up once I GET caught up! SO EXCITED!!

Thanks again for all the tips!

~Alexis
don't worry you are doing fine and will figure out all the emoticons and quotes and what not just like the rest of us did in time.

And, of course, we have a DISmeet excursion that Chrisse & Lynn have planned to the Garden of Eden clothing optional rooftop bar. Apparently, this "clothing optional" thing has really grabbed hold of Chrisse! :lmao: Just kidding...

Royfam, you definitely win the prize for most-needed cruise! So sorry about all the bad stuff, and so happy for all the great stuff going on with your family... :grouphug: Glad you are back! Definitely not too late for FE's. You've been on the list all along. Will you send me your e-mail address so I can update your info and send you the most recent list?

Thanks!

Kelli
ya i tried to forget about that meet :rotfl2:

lol and you will love every minute of it!!!
And as far as posts go, it doesn't have to be anything...lol just somethig to bump your posts. And if your like me, when I am working or reading, I have my email open so I hear when someone posts on here and hop right to it! lol It is my small obsession! I also have my Facebook up all the time just in case something interesting happens...lol. Yes I have a life! It just revolves around this trip for the time being! Right now I am playing with graphics for magnets! This might be my newest hobby! It has taken me a week to read this book because of all the playing on the computer! Oh well, it keeps me happy...lol.

Here we go, post #3...I see we have the same obsession. I thought I was a planner, but you all make me look like Peggy Bundy. I am so far behind! I am going to start working on magnets this week, and luckily I have several friends who sew and can help with our FE. (As for being on the computer, my husband probably won't actually divorce me, but he is threatening to buy a new laptop since I am always on his. Lol.) My e-mail and Facebook go straight to my BlackBerry, so I almost never used the "real" computer until now.

apparently i have been on here too much also as my husband got tired of sharing his laptop so got me my own. we share so well lol

Alexis, how old is your DD?

Got your e-mail! I will send you the most recent list tomorrow after I update you and royfam. Slammed at work today...

Awesome that you love spades! We have a hard time finding anyone to play with and really love it. I was wondering if you were from Wilmington. We lived in Charleston for about 20 years and loved it, but honestly, I have always liked Wilmington better. More of a small town feel, I think... Definitely glad to have another Carolina girl along for the ride!

I am on Facebook too, but don't post that much. Got WAY too addicted to games so I finally went cold turkey. I keep up on my Blackberry too. Don't know how I lived without one for so long...

Ok... how did I get wrapped up in this one again!!! :rotfl2: I guess it will be Kelli, Lynn, Sheila and myself.... who else wants to join us? We will need some sanitizer and some rubber gloves!

I can not imagine not having my BB! FB, email for work and personal, and texts! How could I live without text messages!?!

We shouldn't have this problem. My husband and I each have laptops, the little ones each have their netbooks, I have my main computer in the bedroom and then of course there is the one at my office! When my oldest lived at home we had 7 computers in the house! And that is NOT counting the PS3's the boys have that they also use for Inet! Can you tell we live in a small town? There is NOTHING to do!

YAY for new lists!!! I am loving all the people doing FEs and Meets!!!

I am looking forward to a group card game of some sort. There are a few we play at the in laws when the family is together that is alot of fun! Anyone ever play Scribble aka Screw your Neighbor?

I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Do you have all the magnets you want/need? If you see any on the cruise magnet link I may be able to make them for you and anyone else who may want them. They may not be as pretty as the crusie link guys make because I do not have their program but I can try.

I was the same way, now I just have it on to chat with my neices, nefew and a few random friends. Also I have an aunt who is not doing well and my cousin posts daily on how she is doing so that is my way of keeping track of her.

apparently i have been on here too much also as my husband got tired of sharing his laptop so got me my own. we share so well lol

See...I need to get some of that action. My hubby can keep his laptop and just buy me a new one of my own! Not likely...

My DD is 4 going on 14. She's a little sweet and a LOT sassy, and I can't imagine where she gets it. I love my girl!

I am almost afraid to ask, but is there a Facebook page set up for our cruise? About getting addicting to games on FB, that was sooo me, too! I did the same thing. I went cold turkey last summer, and I amazingly have time for other things in life now! (like DIS boards! hahaha!!):dance3:

What a great idea! I love it! Now does that mean you're offering to create it? I can always whip one up if needed. :surfweb: I think it would be a fun way to share pics after the crusie!

We used to play all the time before DD was born. I'll be rusty in the beginning, but I'm sure it will all come back. I love Charleston! DH and I were married there, in the Palmer Home on the battery. You're right about Wilmington, though, we're so much like Charleston but smaller. Can't wait to meet you and chat and compare notes! :woohoo:

Sounds like a great idea!

Chrisse: Never heard of Scribble/Screw your neighbor, but it has to be fun with a name like that? How do you play?

If we do decide to do a Facebook group we would need to come up with a name for our group. Any suggestions? I thought of one but it is corny because I have no imagination...lol.

Scribble/Screw Your Neighbor is alot of fun! Basically you have a single deck of cards(I am bringing at least 2 decks with me) and you start off dealing 6 cards to each player, each round the cards go down by one and after we hit 1 you go back up to 6. At times there is no trump but for the most part there is. You tell the score keeper how many tricks you think you can get and it goes around the table. The dealer has to choose how many tricks by how many are already being asked for. If it is at 6 cards and 5 tricks are spoken for that means the dealer has to keep the count under or over the amount of cards dealt so it is never even. so the dealer would have to say 0 and hope to sluff or go for 2 or more. This way someone always scratches! The best part is keeping tricks from those who want them or making someone take tricks they don't want and forcing them to scratch(scribble) and screw your neighbor(hence the name). It is alot easier to show than explain in writting but my kids even love to play!

Another game to play if the older kids ever want to play with us is Chase the Ace! It is so funny to see how frustrated people get!

Ok off to work for me. Have a great day everyone!

I think the Facebook page is a great idea.:thumbsup2

Chrisse...so what's the group name you came up with?? You never did say. Corny or not....let's hear it!!

LOL. I am at work right now with the boss laughing at me for my name choice! I was just thinking of using the Mickey pic I am using for the Pirate shirts and calling us the Diz Pirates.... I told you it was CORNY!!! :rotfl2:

Do you mean the Dis Pirates?
It's not bad...I kinda like it...it's not corny.
What does eveyone else think?
Sorry I can't volunteer my services to do the Facebook thing...as everyone already knows I'm not that good with the computer. I should be by now with all this time I'm spending on it these days! I don't think my DH has seen me on the computer so much. He too thinks I'm going a little nuts with all this cruise stuff. I think it's fun!!:cool1:

I know screw your neighbor..it's alot of fun. Not familiar with the spades game though. Always willing to learn something new.
Chase the Ace is a great game too!

Well I was thinking along the lines of the shirt I am making the family. I have it as "Pirates of the Western Caribbean" so I thought maybe Dis Pirates of the WC or somethign cheesey like that. My MIL(the boss) was laughing at me when I was posting at work this morning. I have no problem setting up a page for us and I spend alot of time on a computer either for work or fun. I just need the group to choose some names and then put it to a vote before I create it. Get those ideas rolling and let me know your thoughts!

BTW: My MILs suggestion was Snow Busters....lol because it is snowing out... :rotfl2:
