Hey, I know I am full of questions today,,, Sorry. Just curious about weather and crowds for that time of year?

TIA :teeth:

Crowds: very light

Weather: completely unpredictable. You could have days in the 80s with cool nights, or you could have mornings near freezing with days struggling to get out of the 40s. In fact, you could have both of those situations in the same week! You'll have to pack everything you own!!

My family is going the same week. I was afraid the weather was going to be like that. My husband has been telling me to plan on paking light. :rotfl2: I allready overpack and the weather uncertainty will only make that worse! I'm glad to hear about the crowds though!

we'll be there around the same time... go every year...pack the whole house, never know what the weather will be... :rotfl: only kidding, if you're at DVC- pack like 1-3 days worth for each person, you will use the washer in your place anyway- pack 2 sweatshirts each, and only one pair shorts, if it gets weirdly hot, wash them! :goodvibes 1 pr. sandalsp.p.- one pair sneaks... one bathing suit, there's always a dryer if you need it...never forget the dual use type jackets... and a cheap poncho each person -nights are usually quite cool- remember, you'll use the washer anyway, and it's so convenient!(can you tell I've learned from experience? :confused3 :rotfl2: :confused3

Us too! We will be there too! Planning on layering big time...and thank goodness for Gortex...wind and rain proof!

But then again....my only consention to winter is putting on shoes and socks with my shorts :)

We were there the same week in 2005. We arrived on Sat and on Sun and Mon the weather was very cold-in the 40's and windy. They said it was the coldest it had been in two years. By Wed and Thurs we were back to shorts and it was beautiful. Definitely take clothes to layer and also hats and mittens. Boy we wished we had them! The crowds were minimal. I think the longest we waited in line was approx 20 min and we also utilized FP for the more popular rides. AK was the least crowded. It was a great week to go.

Gloves. You can turn any outfit into a "cold weather" outfit if you pack gloves. We've been to WDW in january and had it freeze at night. We've also been and had it be 75. But gloves fix all problems.

Thanks for starting this thread!

We will also be at OKW, same time and I already put it in my head that I would not be on vacation from my "laundry fairy" lifestyle.

I'm hoping that it is not another record cold week as I DO NOT LIKE THE COLD and that is why we are leaving NY for a vacation in Florida in January!

At least we'll have less crowds in the parks!
