Jan 2008 - Public Holidays?

I'm trying to work out the best dates for a visit in early January next year. Are there any public holidays or other expected unusually busy days on Mon 7th - Fri 11th Jan 2008?

If we were going the following week, that would be different. The 21st of January in 2008 is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day making it a three day weekend for a lot of folks.

It might be busy since kids really aren't back in school that week but it shouldn't be that bad. I'm sure the 11th will be a little busier just becuase it's a friday but you should be fine!
