Jan 19/20 BWPPI

Is there anything going on on the 19th and 20th of January? I was checking out the BWPPI and there are no rooms available that weekend. Is there a holiday in the US that weekend (I'm in Canada)?

Try calling them. Sometimes what they have on-line is differant than what they actually have. We are staying there in Feb. and 2 of the 8 days I wanted weren't available on-line, so I called and booked with no problem!

There are a bunch on things going on at the Convention center, probably that. Check the Calendar of Events at the Anaheim Convention Center

MLK weekend. Holiday on Monday. Busy at DLR.

MLK means busy like summer busy? We'd be driving home on Monday....but at the park Fri & Sat, then DCA on Sun. Good plan or bad one considering the holiday?

I always avoid weekends of any kind, so I only know what I hear. And what I hear is that most holiday weekends are "busy like summer busy", and for that matter most non-holiday weekends are also "busy like summer busy".

With that said, most folks around here know that I am in the camp that "summer busy" is not as bad as most folks make it out to be - IF, IF, IF - you use FP a lot, get an early start each day, and take afternoon breaks.

If it's just a weekend to you (ie you are not "using" the MLK holiday to your advantage) I would definitely pick a different one if you are still able to change your plans. You will have a much busier weekend to deal with otherwise.
