I can't hardly stand it! We're booked for Jan 13th for our DD 8th birthday! DH wants to keep it a surprise until we get there, but I'm not so sure that I can!

Yeah, I'm not the best at keeping secrets...we tried to do the same thing when we took her to DW just before she started Kindergarten. I ended up blowing it about 1 week out.

Looks like we will be joining you!!! We are booking this week!! Have been talking it over with DH for about a month. Wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to get him on board with the idea. This will be our first cruise and we are trying to keep it from the kids till Christmas.

I just booked this cruise as well!

We are 2 adults and 2 kids, a boy and girl (twins) will be 8 when we sail. This will be our 5th DCL cruise (previously 2 Wonders and 2 Dreams). All have been short cruises then adding on a few days at WDW. Obviously, we've enjoyed them.
The last 3 years we've done around this same time. I'm always concerned with the weather but each time we have lucked out and it has been just about perfect. Here's hoping the trend holds.

We did the suprise thing a few years back and it was great. Our kids were 5 at the time and pretty clueless (self involved). They had no idea we were going to Florida until the morning of the flight when we woke them up or that we were going on a cruise until we pulled into the line to drop off the bags.

I've never booked a cruise this far in advance. The prices seemed very good and we didn't want to miss out. It is going to be tough to wait so long.

We are OFFICIAL!!! We booked the other day!! DH and I are so excited. I feel like a kid again. We have a DS who will be 5 and a DD who will be 2. With this being our first cruise any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Fingers crossed for great weather. We have had a mild winter this year and I fear next year will be bad. So I am looking forward to getting away from here.

It is early but 1 tip: when making the airline reservations, consider flying in the day before. Last year, which was a horrible winter in the northeast, we were amazingly lucky to get out.
About 4 days before we were scheduled to fly they were predicting a storm so we moved up our departure from the day before the cruise to be 2 days before. The storm came in early and we were lucky to get to the airport in time. We were the last plane out for the next day and a half, everything was shut down. It was so stressful, but that night and the next day was fun watching the weather channel from Orlando.

We are booked for our first Disney Cruise, and our DD7 and DD5's first cruises ever! 2 other couples who we are friends with (both have done Disney cruises before) will be joining us.
This trip will be a surprise Christmas gift for our daughters! I don't know how I can keep it a secret that long, but I'm going to try! It helps that we will spend 10 days at WDW this September, so I only have to wait about 5 more months for that!

Looks like we will be joining you! DH and I just booked this sailing! It will be our first cruise w/o our 2 boys. We did the DREAM in May 2011 and the MAGIC in May 2012.
DH and I are running in the WDW Half Marathon on Saturday the 12th. We figured, 'what better way to relax after all that hard work'?
So, we are staying 2 nights at Art of Animation and then we will drive to Port Canaveral on Sunday and begin our laid back voyage. Can't wait to book a couples massage in Senses! I've always wanted to try that. Now we have a great excuse!

Just booked this weekend!! This will be a first cruise for us (DH, DD 2, and MIL)! We are all very excited!! My only concern is the weather, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. Has anyone started a FE group for this cruise yet? I'd love to participate!
