James Blunt Concert

I posted this on the Community Board but no one seems to know James...I bet there are a few on here that will appreciate my excitement...


I got to go to a James Blunt concert Friday night at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston Mass and even got to meet James after!!

If you havn't heard of James yet, check him out (www.jamesblunt.com) he is an awesome singer and even better in concert!

From what I have read he is HUGE in the UK, and just starting out here in the US, he was just on the Today Show on Thursday.

Some might know his Single You're Beautiful, it has been getting a lot of airplay around here....

Most of us in the UK are very familiar with James Blunt. His single Beautiful was at number 1 in the charts here for a number of weeks this year. His album has also been at the top of the album charts for a while now.

I think his third single is about to be released within the next few weeks.

I doubt we would be allowed to get so close to James at any UK gigs now that he is so well known. There will no doubt be a few jealous people here

Oh you lucky lucky thing, I love James Blunt and tried desperately to get tickets for a concert he was doing here! but was out of luck.

I knew I was posting in the right place here LOL
lots of folks here in the US have no clue who Im talking about and can't understand how excited I am to have met him!

The show I attended was sold out, as was his New York shows...they were all sold out weeks before the actual dates so I was lucky to get a ticket when I did.

I drove 5 hours to get to the show and it was worth it (im in Connecticut)
I hope he comes back around soon, but im sure the next time it will be in a much larger venue and I certainly won't get to meet him.

I have his CD playing right now at work, I think soon everyone here will know all his songs.

I meant to add that I know that most in the UK know James, the original post I made was a copy from the Community Board so that is why I added in the James info and the link to his website, so posters from the US could check him out

Do his shows sell out very quickly in the UK?
I really didn't expect his shows here to sell out since not too many people have heard of him and they did....very quickly!

I just called and got 3 tickets to a taping of the Conan O'Brien Show in New York City for Dec 6th when James is a guest!

My husband, and a co-worker are going with me!!!

I lent my co-worker my CD and she fell in love with him and is just as crazy about him as I am.....we are both on about it!
