Jambo walk time?

I've heard the walking at Kidani to your room can be super long. What is it like at Jambo for DVC rooms? I have a bad back due to an accident and can't handle super long walks to the bus/lobby. How far are the rooms typically from the bus in Jambo? Thank you!

This is a great question! I'm not sure, but I'll take a stab at 10 minutes? Might well be less, but it can seem long.

Jambo halls aren’t as long as Kindani. The bus stop waiting area is a similar distance off the front lobby. The walk off the lobby to the bus stop isn’t any longer than to the end of the hall. Jambo villas are the entire top two floors, so there are ones very close to the lobby. You could put in a request to be close to the lobby.

If you have booked a standard view room, ask for a pool view and you should be close to the lobby

Standard view villas will be on the 5th floor - only the very few club villas are up on the 6th floor.
Because the villas are up on the 5th/6th floor & the elevators are located down the trails/halls & away from the lobby I’d request near an elevator. Being close to the elevators on the Zebra trail side which in standard views overlook the pool is likely the most convenient location, those elevators take you directly down to the pool & Mara as well as to the lobby level. In this map I’ve highlighted the locations of the standard view villas in yellow that are closest to the Zebra trail elevators. I’ve highlighted in green other standard view locations that are nearish to the Zebra trail elevators & are also not far from the Giraffe trail elevators which are convenient to the pool/Mara as well as very close to the store - but you’ll likely get some roof in your pool view in those villas. The Giraffe trail villas would involve the least amount of walking, but those are all value villas - so no point asking for one when you’ve booked a standard view.
