So am I reading it right that there is no quick service over at Kadani? If you want a coffee in the morning you either make your own or go get it at the Lodge?
Just trying to decide between staying at Jambo vs. Kadani. 3 very active younger kids who love water and animals (of course :) ) Just want this to be a nice relaxing vacation. As stress free as possible.
Don't mind stocking the fridge a little instead of doing counter service but just want to know the options.
Any thoughts on either place is appreciated! We've eaten at Jiko and Boma but have never stayed at the Lodge or Kadani. Our favorite DVC resort has always been BWV or BCV so that we could walk to Epcot-(our favorite park)
I'm a little bit afraid that we'll feel too isolated at AKV but it looks so nice that we want to give it a try. :wizard:

We prefer Kidani even though most of the food is at Jambo. The resort has a more homey feel to it and walking to Jambo isn't a problem for us. Kidani does have a small store with a beverage station.

We stayed at Kidani Village last month. We've also stayed at Jambo House twice.

Johari Treasures is the name of the small gift shop in Kidani Village, & you can refill your mug with coffee there (they have regular & decaf). You can refil your refillable mugs there as well.

At the Samawati Springs Pool bar you can get a few quick foods (we ordered the Club sandwich a few times).

There is also a phone at the pool bar that you can use to order "Fine Dining"....which basically is "room service". There is a menu posted of what you can order thru "Fine Dining", which does include some kid's meals. We ordered DS a Kid's pizza. After placing your order, you just sit and wait by the pool (a cast member at the Pool Bar will give you a large numbered card to place at your table/lounge chair so that the Fine Dining cast member will be able to find you).

**Note that a $3.00 charge will be added to your Fine Dining order as well as an 18% gratuity. Well worth it in my family's opinion! :thumbsup2 (Better than walking over to the Mara at Jambo House).

**We loved Kidani Village & plan to return next summer.

thanks for the replies. We've been leaning towards Kadani anyway but want to make sure that we're making the right choice! We used to go every year but now it's prob going to be every other year so we want to make the trip as special as can be.
I love the "homey" feeling of the DVC rooms-definetly one of the reasons we bought in the first place so if Kadani is more like that, I'll definetly like it better than Jambo.
