Jambo villa on rented points: is is a SPECIFIC villa?

Hello:

Using David's Vacation Club, we recently bought nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge: a savannah-view studio on one of the Villa floors at Jambo.

Basically, I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to locate which room/wing we'll be in, and which savannah we'll have a view of.

So . . . . could anyone possibly please tell me if dvcrequest.com assigns us a SPECIFIC room? (Like, did we rent a specific deluxe studio belonging to the specific couple who sold their points to us via David's?) Or is it just whichever room in the category that's available when we arrive?

It will be whatever Savannah view villa is available when you arrive. DVC isn't like other timeshares where you have the same room for the same week every year.

The owner does not have exclusive use of the unit, so you will not know what room you are in until you arrive at the resort. At AKV Jambo House, your room will be on the 5th Floor and can overlook one of three savannas: Arusha, Uzima, Sunset. Below is a map of the 5th floor of Jambo House showing all the rooms.

The savanna view rooms are all on the fifth floor and are throughout the Jambo building. The owner can make for you non-guaranteed requests for room location. At Jambo, I usually request a room with an Arusha savanna view (the one in the middle of the building) along Zebra Trail (the right wing of the U-shaped building).. One good thing about those rooms is that they face west and thus you do not get blinding sun on the porch in the early morning.
