Jambo Standard Studio location

what would you request? It's me and my 3 boys .......two teens one 8 yr old.

All Jambo Std. views are of the pool on the 5th floor. There are 13 studios. Look here http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-akv/floor5.php. Rooms 5401,06,08,10,12,18,28,30,36,56,58,68,and 70.

Well, they are all on the fifth floor. You have a choice (but it is only a request - not guaranteed) of savanna, pool or parking lot. Oops, these are value villas, not standard.

We stayed there not long ago. We had savannah studio not sure if 5th floor. We were on same level as walkway over main lobby. It was quiet and we just had a short walk to elevator to pool

We stayed in a standard studio in Oct. and I think it was 5336 and near the elevator with the stairs between us and the elevator. We had to move it was so noisy in the wall and ceilings. I thought there were animals in there. We called down and they moved us without any problem, and even came up to help us move our luggage and I think we moved to 5330 a few doors down. We then had a quiet room and a great location and a great view of the pool. Both rooms had the same view. I loved AKV at Jambo.

If your reservation is for 2011 there are going to be a couple of standards that by accounts will look back towards the value rooms on the left side of the resort.

There are 8 dedicated value studios. 4 savanna view and 4 pool view.

I am pretty sure that all of the value dedicated studios are savannah view. In the beginning of the AKV experience, you could request a dedicated value studio and it was always a savannah view. Now I understand that you can't request it. Every time we have gotten a value dedicated studio it has been savannah view.

The dedicated Value studios face either the Sunset Savanna or the pool. People request them to avoid getting a parking lot view. The two Value studios facing the parking lot are both lockoffs. Dedicated Studio is no longer a booking category but those booking a Value studio who want to avoid the parking lot view could try putting it in as a request and hope for the best.

The OP is booking a Standard studio so the view situation doesn't apply in their case. A dedicated might be a bit quieter and will probably have (but it is not guaranteed) a small closet.

Yes there are 3 dedicated Standard View studios: 5408, 5410 and 5436. You can see where there are on this map. Rooms 5408 and 5410 might have obstructed views of the pool area due to the restaurant roof below those rooms.
