i read somewhere that due to some hacker, they took all the pirate codes out of the game. is this true? if so, when did this happen, and wouldn't they have told on the homepage or something that they stopped? my question:

Well my opinion is that this would be rumour as a hacker would not know if they had a pirate costume or not. Since this game awards only codes without titles like Narnia did, the hackers are unaware of their prize until said codes are entered. I am sure some hacker can pull every code they want, but unless they type them in, they don't know what they have. As we all know the hard part is typing in codes, not securing them so hack away hackers.

I think what he was trying to say is that a hacker could hack into the main system and get codes for the outfit, and also create codes for inferno and quest kiosks? Of course if that were true, someone would only go through that much trouble and risk for actual financial gain, and so there'd be a lot more inferno and jack costumes for sale on auction sites. Since it's illegal and very difficult to hack into another computer, especially one for a business.

Back on topic. I understand that someone could hack into that "main frame" and pull codes, but at what cost? Is prison really worth going too so that my VMK character is wearing the latest fashion. I agree someone has worked around it or how else could the same person sell 15 outfits on Ebay, but I still think they are haveing to enter the codes to find out which code is a winner. They are code mining, not main frame hacking.

And that's what it looks like with punctuation and bad spelling.
