I just wanted to say that after meeting jack skellington on Wednesday I can confirm that he is the best character that I have ever encountered.
My dd is a huge nightmare fan and so having never met jack before it was at the top of her list of things to do and he did not disappoint.
She was wearing her jack hoody and tshirt and took along her jack doll and he made such a fuss of her,he talked to her for ages and insisted that she told him all about her plans for Christmas and what presents she wanted, what she would eat and what was her favorite part of his film.
Now dd is 10 and knows full well that he is not real but she was totally awestruck by him and for a child who talks non stop she barely said two words she just stared at him and nodded.
I stepped in and told jack that dd was his biggest fan and I thought she was a little starstruck by him to which he made even more fuss of her!!
It was the best character interaction we have ever had with a character,he really took his time to Interact with dd and when he signed her autograph book he looked in the front of the book first to see how dd spells her name and personalised it to her.
My niece and nephew also met him after dd and he was equally wonderful with them, taking time with my nephew who is only 18 months and making sure he did not scare him.
So even if you are not necessarily a fan of jack I would more than recommend visiting him just for the experience.
And if a 'friend' of jacks happens to be reading this please let him know that he made a little girl unbelievably happy on Wednesday 11th December.

That's really nice to read :thumbsup2 ..... especially after reading your other thread about the horrible scene you witnessed.

Jack was definatley the highlight of the trip whilst the other experience was the low. Jack was so attentive and actually listened to what dd was saying,he asked her lots of questions and then waited for her to reply, getting down to her level and having eye contact. It is defiantly a novelty having a talking character but this is definatley what made it so much more special. He was also excellent with two adults who appeared to have mental health issues,he played along with them in all the questions that were being asked and even though they were taking quite a while and obviously not wanting to leave he made no attempt to hurry them up,at one point even taking the woman off to look at the decorations on his tree and describe what presents Sally had wrapped and placed under the tree. I know that people queuing don't like to be kept waiting for too long but when you experience that kind of disney magic it is well worth the wait. He was a true disney character in every way.

Jack Skellington is amazing isn't he??

Some of our best memories over the last few years at DLP are the ones with Jack and Sally. :)

He was amazing!
It was the first time we have ever met him as we always go at Christmas and this was his first christmas at dlrp, unfortunately Sally wasn't with him but it didn't matter as he was excellent on his own.
Unbeknown to me my dad filmed our meet with him,I just thought he was taking photos, and I watched it last night,it's defiantly a meet and greet that dd will be talking about for a long time, the film is fantastic.

I definitely agree with you; I managed to meet both him and Sally on Tuesday and they were fantastic. I was wearing my Minnie winter hat and they were intrigued by it and my backpack. Jack was just amazing and even walked like a skeleton would if that makes sense?

Glad you got to meet Sally too,we would have loved to have Sally as well but jack was defiantly enough,he more than made up for Sally's absence.

I can't agree more! We met Jack and Sally (several times, both trips...our whole family loves him and the movie) over Halloween and then went back again in Novemebr for Christmas goodness and to meet Sandy Claws, and he is by FAR the best part of both trips.
The time and attention he gave DS was outstanding, we must have spent 10 minutes goofing off with him and DS was on cloud 9...when you meet a character that clearly enjoys what they're doing and putting their all into it, you often forget they're also just people, and not actual characters from the movies....lol :goodvibes
