I borrowed the Lord of the Rings from my uncle, but it's too detailed. It makes me fall alseep. I do like the plot, and enjoyed the movies more. I have tried over and over, but I can never finish the first book.

Love him. He is a GREAT author. I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I read the books a few years ago, read The Hobbit even longer ago and saw the movies in theaters and then bought them all on DVD lol. The only I didn't like about the movies, was that they left out Tolkien's favorite character - Tom Bombadil (sp?).

Did you know that these were the stories he would tell his children as bedtime stories? Then, he made them into books.
