I ordered my neice a bathrobe, slippers, and matching pajamas at jcpenneys.com. When I ordered the items everything was in stock. I ordered the items in October. In November I received the pajamas and robe, but no slippers. I called customer service and they told me that the slippers had been backordered until Dec 5th, fine. They also advised me that I would definately have them before Christmas. Well today there was still no package at my door so I called customer service again. Now they tell me that they don't have the slippers and they don't know IF or WHEN they will be getting them in. Sorry. Sorry????!!!!! I had ordered this way in advance to make sure I had what I needed!!!! I specifically bought these items because they had everything matching and it was all in stock. Now what am I supposed to do? The stores have already been so picked over, I will never find anything to match. And I was so happy to be giving her this beautiful set. I am so mad and angry. I wish they would have just let me know as soon as they saw they weren't getting the slippers. They are purple, fuzzy slippers and I will not be able to find them elsewhere. They matched exactly!! I am very dissapointed. The manager I spoke to today did nothing to comfort me, just gave me his customer service spiel. I sent an e-mail to their customer service department as well. The manager I spoke with said they will look into it and send me a letter via snail mail in 3 days!!!!! O.K. they send the letter 3 days from now, it will take me at least 2 days to get it. That leaves hmmmm 5 shopping days until Christmas. I just cannot believe they can get away with this!!!
