Please help. I get the dreaded black screen when trying to login. My children have no problem with their avatars. This has been going on for 3 days now.

I've searched here and other vmk sites for suggestions for the problem. I've deleted cookies and files and uninstalled shockwave and reinstalled.

How can my kid's get on, but not me?

Please help. There is a dream shirt waiting for a helpful person!

Whenever that happens to me, I leave the black screen up until it logs in. Then it loads quickly every time, so maybe you should log in and walk away for a while.

When it has happened to me, it has been using the link directly to the login page. So I go the VMK home page and try logging in using the "play now" button. It's worth a try.

I have done that a couple of times. I got the main screen once, but every room I tried to enter just said "room not available".

Are you using IE? You might want to try downloading and using VMK Pal. That's all I use anymore and have less trouble all the way around, including dc.

Do you and your kids have separate logins to the computer?
Have your tried deleting cookies and temporary internet files?

have you by any chance watched as your kids log on to see if your doing anything different? is there a possibility youve been banned? [im not sure what its like to be banned so i wouldnt know] honestly there is no reason for YOU to the be only one who cant log on other than your doing something wrong, your not doing something you should be, youve been banned....or you computer is just plain evil! lol if youve tried the above i suggest maybe downloading another browser try firefox or something i guess im really not sure. best of luck! let me know if any of these work

That happened to me in January, after a few days I decided to make a new character and it worked. Ok it wasn't my main but at least I could play. I kept trying to log in my main character and suddenly 9 days later my main logged in fine and have had no problems since! Ok I have no idea why it happened and I tried I mean EVERYTHING, including what VMK told me to do in Contact Us. So I don't know what was wrong and neither did VMK, hmm. I know it is frustrating, but don't give up!

this is how i never saw my main character again i could never log back in what you should do right now is keep it logged in if that doesn't work keep logging it in or make a side account quickly this did something to stop it i was un aware at the time but it had something to do with it so give it a whirl
