I cant even explain how angry I am right now...Ok, I admit I could have avoided this back in May..The mistake on my part was I NEVER ACTUALLY CHECKED MY MNSSHP TICKETS WHEN I RECEIVED THEM IN THE MAIL!

This is what im dealing with now. Originally back in May I purchased 3 adult tickets by phone for October 28th. I WROTE IT DOWN on my calandar at work OCTOBER 28TH @ WDW MNSSHP along with my confirmation#...I received the tickets, NEVER thought about peeeling them off the back of the paper they are stuck too until now. Well, just over the weekend I called in and ordered 1 additional adult ticket for my brother who will be joining us in October.

I just noticed because I just decide to peek at the back of one of my original tickets and low and behold it says for OCTOBER 24th!!!! NOT the 28th!!! So now I have 3 tickets for oct 24th and I should be getting the 4th ticket in the mail probably for the 28th...I called WDW and they say to me..."Well you should always check and verify and confirm everything is correct" bla bla bla Ok so I messed up..And I have to call the WDW ticket department tomorrow when they are open and see what they can do for me...The guy on the phone said "Well ya know, they are NON REFUNDABLE and NON TRANSFERABLE..

I know Im jumping to conclusions, but what if they cant help me? This is the 2nd bad situation ive run into with WDW tyring to plan this trip in the last 6 months...Its all about miscomunication on someone's part..Im just very upset right now...Sorry this was so long...

Thanks for listening..

Chris
 :(

They messed up my tickets last year -- wrong date. I called and explained and they sent me the proper tickets out right away. I'm sure they'll be able to help you out when you talk to them. :)

Amy,
How long after you figured out it was the wrong dates did you call them about the mistake? Ive had these tickets since May and I just noticed its the wrong date?? Im so upset and I know I shouldnty be...Now I cant sleep!!!

We had tickets last year for MNSSHP and we ended up having to change our vacation dates as well as the date for the party. I called up and explained to the CM what was going on and they were so very nice about it. I just mailed them my tickets (be sure to send certified mail) and they mailed me a new set for a new date. Try calling back again tomorrow. Hopefully, they will just let you exchange them. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

On the MNNSHP thread, many people stated that this happened to them, too. I don't think the fact that you didn't check right away is too much of an issue. Only because of the thread I just mentioned did I peel my MNNSHP and Cirque tickets off to double check and make sure they're correct.

Try and relax (I know I'd be horrified, too), and call first thing. If the CM isn't helpful enough, ask for a supervisor. I can't imagine they won't help you. They know they send them out on paper, and they must also know they've made a lot of mistakes this year.

Good luck!

Are you going to be there on the 24th? Would that date work for you if all the tickets (new one included) were the same date? Maybe you will have an easier time exchanging one ticket if you explain the situation. (maybe?)

Good luck.

Maddle

You won't believe this! You prompted me to check MY MNSSHP tickets and guess what...they're for the WRONG DATE, TOO!!
I absolutely know we requested Halloween Night because it's our anniversary and we have gone Halloween Night our last two trips for the same reason. MY TICKETS ARE FOR THE 29th!!
Unbelievable. If Halloween Night is full, I'm cancelling my trip. I am so LIVID!!We've already booked Victoria & Albert's for the 29th!!

I'm so sorry for those of you with the wrong dates! It sounds as if exchanging them is possible, from what others have said. If the CM you talk to doesn't offer to change them, keep trying! This is their mistake, not yours. It definitely should not matter that you didn't check right away. You checked before your trip, and in my opinion, that is soon enough, Good luck!

This thread caused me to check my MVMCP tickets, which are correct, thankfully. But it really wouldn't have occured to me to peel them off the paper. I wanted to keep them all together, so I just left them as is in the envelope. Thank you for the heads up, at least.

I was at WDW once and a family had La Nouba tickets for the wrong year - the tickets were for a year earlier. Sadly, the performance was sold out and the (big) family couldn't go to that performance, but I got the impression the box office was trying to help them out. Best of luck to you!!!

I checked our tickets when we got them in May, and low and behold:eek: they were for the wrong dates!!!:headache: I immediately called Disney and advised them about the dates. Gave them my confirmation number, and the CM said that the computer :badpc: showed the dates that were on our tickets, and there was nothing they could do! I was furious:mad: The correct date was for the 20th, and we had tickets for the beginning of the month. The CM wouldn't help us out in the least bit. So, I did like everyone always say...I called back. The CM I got this time listened to my plight. Why would I, who living in TN, would schedule the MNSSHP at the beginning of the month, when my reservation (already paid for) was toward the end of the month. The CM  listened to my plight and looked up my confirmation again. The other CM was wrong. She said for me to mail back my tickets and she would have the correct ones sent. I thanked her and ran the wrong tickets out to the post office that day. And like magic:wizard: one week later, the correct tickets were in my hand!!! Everyone who hasn't checked, check your tickets!

Each year I am astonished at the number of posts concerning wrong dates for Halloween and Christmas party tickets. Why in the world do they seem to have such a big problem in this area?

Last year I bought MNSSHP ticket over the phone.
Several weeks later, I called WDW because I didn't believe I ever received them.
They apologized, and promptly cancelled those tickets and issued new ones all at no charge to me.
Imagine my horror several weeks later when I realized my mistake.
I had mixed up the tickets with some junk mail, and never opened them.
Now, I know in my situation it was simply a reissue for the same date but...
I think in your instance, they will be understanding.
It sounds like a lot of people had the same problem. Maybe Disney is aware of a glitch but just not sure who it affected and is waiting for your call.
I have found that as long as your remain calm, and politely explain your problem, Disney is more than happy to resolve any issue you have.
After all...it is the Happiest Place on Earth!

i ordered tickets for this year for the 28th as ell the day they went on sale. as we all know they had computer problems and the dates were all messed up. i also had the wrong tickets sent to me. i called and explained that when i ordered the tickects i told them the 28th but their computer kept kicking the cm to the 26th. i think that was the date. to make a long story short they sent me new ones for the 28th. my card was only charged once and i am taking the wrong tickets with me when i go just in case we have a problem trying to get in to mnsshp. i think you'll get it straightened out...good luck

I think you will be able to exchange them based on what others have said.

Just in case that doesn't work, I have read other posts from some who sold their tickets with incorrect dates on E-Bay or elsewhere (for face value) and then just bought new ones. It's not the best solution, but it might be a last resort. There's nothing illegal about selling them for face value or less - they aren't identified as yours in any fashion and you don't have to show any ID at the gate.

Good luck!

Wow! I can't believe all these problems! Bless your heart! I feel so bad for all of you. Speaking as a travel agent I will have to say one thing tho....PLEASE ALWAYS CHECK YOUR DATES, YOUR
FLIGHT SCHEDULES, YOUR PLANS --- the Whole itinerary. We do make mistakes but if it's caught soon enough it can be fixed w/little to no problem. For all of my packages I book regardless if it's a cruise, a vacation package or a trip to Disney I send a confirming itinerary to my clients telling them to verify their names are spelled correctly, the dates are correct and everything is as they requested. One time I had a client call me stating the spelling of the name was wrong--this was a package w/airline tickets. It was my fault so I had to pay the $75 change fee for the name correction. However another time I had a client to call and say the dates were wrong on their itinerary. I went back to my notes and found the dates were correct according to my notes. What saved my tail was the fact I had emailed him the itnerary not once but twice and he hadn't caught the date differences. He ended up changing his vacation time and going on the dates I had in my notes.

As someone else said earlier, if you address the CM w/kindness and are polite, you'll get alot further than if you call in all in a panic and upset. That immediately makes someone defensive. And remember the CM on the other line didn't cause the problem...she/he just happens to be the one to pick up the line.
And if they aren't able to help you, hang up and try for another agent...then go to a supv. I'm willing to bet considering the fact there have been so many mistakes for this, they are well aware of it and willing to fix the problem.

Good luck to you!!

Well Im glad this thread promted some of you to check your dates..First thing this morning I call the ticket department and the woman said to just send them back and we will re-issue new ones for the correct date (Oct. 28th) I also asked her to check the date of the ticket I just ordered for my brother over the weekend. That is supposed to be for october 28th as well..She checked in the computer and the records show the date of the 28th..I hope so  Im still a little uneasy about the whole thing, I didnt send it certified mail  I wont feel completley 100% ok until I have ALL 4 adult tickets for Thursday October 28th in my hand!! Well, thanks for all of your replies..If I have any trouble Ill be back to post again..I have my fingers crossed!! And good luck to all of you as well...Im sure everything will be ok..Ill see you guys in October!

:wave2:

Glad to hear it's going to work out. I'll be there on the 28th too. Maybe we'll see each other.

Also I wanted to mention to everyone to not only check the dates of the tickets but to check for adult vs. child.

I had this same issue with differant dates and I caught it rather quickly after receiving tixs. I called Tix number and they had us send wrong date tixs back in postage pd envelope and they than sent us correct date ones.

I wonder how long it will take them to send the tickets back to me? They didnt ask me to send them with a postage paid stamped envelope or to send it certified? I did make a photo copy of the original ticket order so I can keep it for my records just in case of another mix up..Ill be glad when i get the correct tickets back..

I hope I see some of you there...I will be wearing lime green ribbons (we still do that right?) Lime green ribbons for the DIS members?

micknpluto:

Sorry I didn't reply earlier -- I had checked my tix right after they came.

I hope they'll get them to you quickly -- I can imagine you'll be uneasy about the situation 'til you have the correct tickets in your hands!
