What a long day...
Short version... My daughter had a dentist appt this am to take off her braces. While I'm in the waiting room, the school calls, my younger DD is running a fever. I did send her to school with a headache...so now I felt bad. I left my oldest DD at the dentist to go pick up younger.. 6week old baby in tow...

Fast forward..after lunch, we're goin in the house and my oldest DD is wearing those %*&%$ heely skate shoes. I'm gettin the baby out of the car when I hear a noise (that skate shoe wheel), and see Rayden has fallen in the carport.. I'm not in a big hurry because I figured it wasn't a big fall...but as I can tell something is wrong...I ran over to her. She's on the ground, and looks wayyy weird that I can't explain. Her pupils are huge...she's not really talking but making gasping noises. Then...she says "I can't breathe" in between breaths.. I can tell something is really wrong...then after a few more deep breaths...she says "I LOVE YOU"... her eyes roll back in her head... she falls back on my chest and STOPS BREATHING!!!
I about lost it. I screamed for my youngest DD for the phone...but realize I have it...so I call 911. I tell them I need an ambulance and brief the operator.. I"m freaking out...shes talking to me...and after about 10-15 seconds...Rayden makes a huge gasp...waits a bit and says "I can breathe".. but she can't move and can't feel her arm...
The paramedics arrive within 5 minutes and she's talking by then... doing good. They want to take her to Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital just in case, s they take her by ambulance.
She fell on the concrete, hit her head and back. Now...her shoulder and back are sore...has a headache.. and they checked her out....just said to watch her due to a mild concussion...

I thought I lost my baby today :(

Oh my gosh, how scary!! I am so glad that your DD is OK. Man, life can change in a second, can't it?

OMG....I have tears in my eyes, I'm soooo sorry you had to go through this this . From being in the medical field, def. keep a eye on her tonight and the next few days/nights and when she is sleeping. Glad everything is alright now...take care and keep us posted!!

 I'm so sorry.
Gosh Heely's are like evil. I had some in 4th grade and I still have like scars on my knee's from taking nasty spills on them. I also know kids that have seriously hurt themselves on Heely's too.

:grouphug: Glad she's doing better. That is truly freightening.

oh my good gracious...I was scared reading your post!! :grouphug: :grouphug:

I am glad it is turning out okay!!

Lord have mercy I think I would have stopped breathing too. Im glad to hear she is fine now but how scared you and your other dd must have been.

 I'm so glad she's okay. I thought I lost my son when he was 5, absolutely the worst day of my life.

:grouphug: That just about made me cry, I can't imagine what that was like to go thru. I'm glad she's doing better.

i am so thankful that everything worked out fine...can't imagine how awful that was for you!!

extra hugs all around in your house tonight, i am sure

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

 So they let you go home now with a concussion? I thought it was a magic overnight stay at the hospital for observation.
Extra kisses for everyone tonite!

WOW!! As a mom I could certainly feel your fear just reading your post. Oh my goodness, what a scary moment. I'm SO glad everything was okay.

P.S. THROW OUT THE HEELYS or remove the wheel permanently!!! (like you haven't already);)

:scared1: I can't even imagine how scary that was. I'm so glad that she's ok!

Yeah..my youngest DD was scared...she stayed in the car with the baby..

On our way home from the hospital..we were talking about it... and my youngest DD said she didn't come over there cuz she saw us both on the ground and thought she was dead :(
As I thought about it...she never did come over to us until the paramedics had her on the stretcher... poor girl :(

Yeah...definitely scariest part was when she said "I love you" and stopped breathing.. omg... I was saying "I love you too baby"...
She told me later today she remembered saying that to me... cuz she felt bad..cuz we got in an argument last night and she yelled "I hate you".. First time hearing that :( Of course, she later apologized last night saying she didn't mean it..she was just mad I wouldn't let her go to karaoke with her friend cuz she'd be home after bedtime..
(she's 12... the joys...lol)

As we were leaving the hospital today.. the dr said "If she starts acting weird or loopy...bring her back in".. I said she's 12..she's always weird and loopy.. :dance3:
I'll take weird and loopy everyday forever :)

LOL..I didn't have to throw them out... she threw them in the outside trash as soon as we got back home!
I was on her all day about never wearing those things again because it was her first day wearing them..and she wasn't good on them at alllll ... (obviously)

OMG! How scary for everyone.  I tell you, if we can survive parenthood, we can survive anything. :scared1: :scared1:
