Okay, I know most of you have seen my previous Thread titled, "I'm Very Indecisive. Help Me Choose My Week in 2008!!!". Now, after a lengthy discussion with my Wife, we've decided that we NEED to go the first half of the year because December is just entirely too long to wait :rolleyes1 .

So again Disney experts I ask, what week of the choices above represent the best week to go for LOW Crowds and Nice Weather?

Thanks Again! :)

P.S. It will be Me, My DW, 14 yr old DS, 9 yr old DD and 1 yr old DS. We will be staying at the CR with a MK View Rm.

Also, I forgot to mention that, if you vote, please explain why you made the choice you did. Now I know a lot of you voted in my last poll, so if you vote again, you don't have to explain why because you probably already did  . But if you're a first time voter, or, you've changed your vote to one of the new dates that I listed, then please explain.

Thanks for everyone's time and patience in my quest to find the week for me :goodvibes .

I've had THREE EXCELLENT early May trips to WDW; the most recent being just a couple of weeks ago! :thumbsup2

VERY nice weather, very managable crowds, the Flower & Garden Show at Epcot, very nice weather, and very managable crowds ::yes::

I voted May. We've gone in or close to all those times and May really is the best of those I think. Best weather and crowds. :)

I voted for Janurary. Thats when we are going, well we will be there the 11-21. This will be our first trip in Jan. We are looking forward to it and it is the soonest time on your list!!

You know what, that is a REALLY good point! :thumbsup2

Tough choices this time. I'm a little wary of going in March because of all the variations on spring break. DH wanted to go in March next year (for Braves spring training - a big check in the "pros" column if you're a baseball fan!), but I think we're better off waiting until a year when Easter falls in April. I haven't checked the crowd calendar yet, though, so I might be way off base on my worries over crowds in early-mid March.

I picked May because it seems like the weather would be better, but I'm irrationally nervous about travelling in Jan & Feb because of the weather we're likely to run into here at home when flying out & back. And since I can't imagine doing Disney without enjoying the pool, waterpark and water rides, I don't think January would be a great time to visit.

i picked may :) we went in may last year...nice weather, low crowds, celebrate cinquo de mayo with a margarita in mexico, it's all good :)

I voted May since the weather should be nice and you don't have to deal with school being out. My SIL went in May and loved it. I would like to go in May but it is too close to school ending to pull out my kids.

January they weather could be cold or warm and March with spring break can be crowded and the weather could be iffy too.

That's a VERY good point and something that I've thought long and hard on. My kids have already stated that they want to be able to swim, therefore, May is at the top of my list at the moment.

I PICKED THAT WEEK DO TO THE CROWDS .MY AUNT LIVES A HOUR AWAY FROM DW AND SAD MAY 3 - 10 IS THE BETTER WEEK FOR LESS PEOPLE THERE. :dance3: THAT IS THE WEEK WE ARE GOING TO . I HAVE BEEN BEFORE BUT THIS WILL BE THE FRIST TIME FOR MY CHILDREN.

Tough choice...and I didn't vote yet.

We went last year in January, pretty much the same week on your list. We loved it. Weather was great. On the cool side for some people, but we loved it. It was just more comfortable to do all those rides without sweating or dealing with heat exhaustion.

But I have heard that January weather can be hit or miss.

May...never been myself, but a couple of guys I work with were at WDW 2 weeks ago and they said that it was VERY warm, ok HOT. They still had a good time though.

March: I've been to FL in March. Not to Disney, but Red Sox Spring Training. And the weather was always perfect. I love March in Florida.

I voted for January. The weather is very nice during the day, and you will need a jacket at night. no humidity. I have pictures in the Mk with a stroller and no one around in Liberty Square and also pictures on no one in Adventure land. It was a great trip, no lines and I could get a reservation in any restaurant I wanted for any time I wanted.

I was trying to decide between January & May (March is more crowded). We had our best trip ever in May. ALSO, usually in January a major attraction or two goes down, for refurbishment, so more stuff may be closed then.

So, go with MAY!

That's excellent to hear! I've heard that January is the second least crowded month to go. I'm just kinda torn between January's crowd level, and worrying about the fact that January is the most popular time for Refurbishments and Closures! I'm also concerned about the unpredictable weather in January. :confused3

Keep the opinions coming!

What does "nice weather" mean to you? If your kids want to swim January is too unpredictable. We were at WDW in February 2006 and it was way too cold for me to swim. One day we had very strong winds and highs only in the 50's.

If you are looking for low crowds March will not be the month for you, especially in 2008. Easter is early in 2008, March 23. I am guessing from President's Day on the crowds will steadily build and will reach their max from March 16-March 30. With spring breakers and the spill over from the Daytona 500 you will not catch me at a Disney from mid February until after March.

Soooooo.....as I did on your other poll, I voted for early May. We just returned from a trip from May 12-19. The grounds were beautiful with everything in bloom. Crowds were very managable, the lowest I have ever seen and I have been at WDW in February and November of recent years. And the weather was perfect. Mornings and evenings were beautiful, and mid-day was hot and just right for a swim.

Good luck deciding!

We are actually going April 27-May 3 2008, so I'm glad to hear that is a good time to go. Anyway, we went late Jan '05 and the first few days the weather was really cold. In the morning it was in the 30's and I think it worked it's way up to 60 or so by mid afternoon. We did manage to get in a swim or two in the afternoon later on in the week. I think the highest it got was mid 70's thouth.

Also, there were several rides down for repairs that I was disappointed we didn't get to take ds & dd on. Like Small World and Dumbo. It was the first time taking the kids and they were only 3 and 18 mos and I was so excited for them to ride some of my favorites. Then to get there and find out they were closed for repairs (this was before I found the Dis of course :thumbsup2 ). I'm so looking forward to our trip next May because it will be me, dh, ds6, dd4, and dd1.

we went almost this exact dates for March this year - weather was great - we swam - it was nice to call home (OH) and here that it was snowing - while we were getting tans after being in the parks all day. Crowds were great - our last day at the MK was Friday - and the crowds had picked up. As we drove home traffic was backed up FOREVER - the week before we had not sat once.
