I've lost my friends!

Okay, so I'm waiting until I can log on again tomorrow to see if anything's changed, and I've sent into contact us for help, but...
I'm still a little concerned.
It's not like I've been banned for ten years for no reason like some of our friends...
But all my friends disappeared.
I have an empty friends list now, and I can't make new friends either.
It's just blank.
I had about 80-100 friends on the list I think, though only about a dozen actual friends who I really know from anyone else, and I don't care about the other 70 or whatever but I don't know what to do with myself if I can't find my friends!
Anyone ever seen this before? What can I do?

It's a bug caused by the horrible lag we've had. Your list should be fine tomorrow.

Happened to me tonight too. Signed on, had 1 friend and only 1. Signed back on and all was good. Don't worry - it'll work itself out.

Yup, happens all the time. They will be back, most likely tomorrow.

i logged on one day and my whole list was gone i got so freaked out bc i could never meet all those ppl again, the next day the list was back

What with all the craziness going on with closing and AntJewel getting banned and whatnot it made me a little more freaked out than it might have otherwise!
