I've just lost 30 or so PMs...

...mostly, if not all, from my 'Sent' folder.

Has this happened to anyone else? Could I have done this accidentally?

Were they older PMs? They do get cleaned out if they are older than 6 months old I think.

Pam...I think most of the lost ones were from the 'SENT ITEMS' folder...so, yes, unless you have my PMs to you saved...my half of our witty repartee...lost forever. I know, don't cry.

I only hve some of our witty little PMs saved - there were too many to keep in the files..... oh the misery, the horror.......

Oh NO

I just noticed that I lost PMs as well. The only ones I lost were the older ones (more than 4-5 months old). There were some that I had been saving from some great discussions I had with a member who is no longer with us. I always keep my PM box tidy and delete all old PMs I do not want/need, but I never thought ones would just be taken away from us..... I wish now that I had copied and pasted our conversations onto my computer!

There is a 6 month limit on the storage of PM's. I probably only clear them out once a month or so. It used to be PM's had a 1000 character limit and this was the trade for raising that limit

Sure, Alex - break our hearts!! When Jeannie and I die and they go to publish our witty, funny and tell-all autobiographies - all of our PMs will be wiped out, obsolete...... sigh....... I suppose even these posts will be gone as well......
