I've had surprisingly good luck making ADRs

So a few of these reservations were made months ago, but about half were made in the last two days. I am no Disney expert, but I have heard that ADRs right around Christmas were very difficult to obtain. Here are our dinner reservations through the holiday week (in no particular order):

Rose and Crown
Jiko
Victoria and Albert's
Shula's
California Grill
Raglan Road
Flying Fish

For each day, there were quite a few restaurants available, most with times between 5:30 and 8. Have I heard incorrectly about obtaining ADRs this time of year, was I just lucky, or will this year be less crowded?

Really looking forward to our time in The World, crowded or not.:woohoo:

I don't expect it to be any less crowded then prior years as that is one of the busiest times of year! But, I think your ADRs worked out so well because of your choices. The places that book up quickest, IMO, during that time are the ones that are character and more family-related. Your choices are what many guests would consider more adult-oriented. (Fantastic choices too, btw!)

Ahhh, that makes sense. It is just my Fiance and I that will be dining...at that point we will be on our honeymoon.

Warning: after Vic & Al's you may be spoiled :thumbsup2

Agree with PPs, great choices and Congratulations!

Great choices! I agree with the pp that after V&A you will be spoiled. We had V&A for our first dining experience on our Sept. 2010 trip, and everything we ate after that was lackluster. Most of the restaurants you picked are signatures so probably aren't booked as quick as other restaurants, but good choices nonetheless.

Thanks, everyone! We are very excited for our trip and hope the dining is great.

Once upon a time, I had reservations for the chef's table at V&A, but had to cancel. So since that time, I have wanted to visit the restaurant to see (taste) for myself what seems to be universally called one of the top restaurants in central Florida. Although this is not the chef's table, we are still looking forward to the experience!
