Hi Everyone,

Finally we have booked!! Woo hoo!!!!

It will be 18 months since our last visit which was also our wedding and due to all the family being with us last time we didn’t get chance to do everything we wanted too so its like we are finally getting chance to do our honeymoon just a little later than usual :lovestruc .

We leave from Manchester on 3rd Sept for 2 wks and are staying in the All Stars Music for the first time as this was all they had in our price bracket. Sadly we couldn’t afford to stay at the YC again :( but the main thing is we will be there again! Anybody else planning a visit around this time?

Just need to decide what restaurants to book now so any recommendations are more than welcome. The ones we wanted to do last time but didn’t where Castle and Chef Mickey’s. What are these restaurants like for couples?

Thanks in advance

Nicci

Excellent news Nicci.

Both restaurants are fine for couples although CM's can be quite manic sometimes. Personally if I was making a choice I would chose the Castle. Always nice and romantic eating in those surroundings.

I'm sure whatever you chose you will have a fabulous time.

Excellent news Nicci.:cool1:
We will be there from the 10th September.
Have fun planning.:goodvibes

Hi thanks for your replies, well I called WDW Dine earlier today and am absolutley gutted they are fully booked for CRT during the whole length of our stay for both lunch and dinner I am really gutted as the same thing happened last time we where there :sad1: So I am going to have a little think and call them back ready with a list of alternatives fingers crossed we actually managed to get something booked!

Just a quick one what are the crowds generally like around that time of year?

I think I am doing DH's head in already with the planning and we only booked it monday night lol!! :)

Thanks again

Just a quick one what are the crowds generally like around that time of year?

What crowds? :teeth:

Generally it's a very quiet time of year. Be aware that September 5, 9, 12, 16 are Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party evenings at Magic Kingdom, so you may see raised crowd levels later in the afternoons on those dates.

You may see some rain and it can be a bit windy at times especially earlier in the month, but it's always nice and hot in september so pack the suncream!

We always go september/october or november/early december specifically to avoid the crowds. I was 5 days past the 180 day mark booking our ADR for fantasmic at Hollywood & Vine - ended up having to be ridiculously flexible and booked for a 4pm dinner!

:goodvibes

CRT is possibly the most sought after ADR and is difficult to get unless you're able to phone when the reservation window opens up (180 days in advance). However, don't give up because people do cancel and it's worth phoning back periodically, particularly closer to the time. It's even worth trying to get in as a walk-up.

September is a great time to go but free dining has made it busier.

Well Done, Happy Planning:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

For the last 4 years we have gone in September and we love that time, but have seen a difference in crowd levels since free dining, we will be there from the 20th and cant wait we are soo excited:cool1: :cool1:

Hi,

Thanks again for all the posts. Just thought I would give you a little bit of an update as to where I am so far:

Called WDW Dine back the same day armed with a list of ADR's and thought I would try and book CRT again and to my suprise I got it :cool1:  I couldnt believe it!!!

So here are my ADRs so far:

YC Captains Grill for breakfast on our first morning as this was where we stayed when we got married last year so though it would be a bit a nice way to start the holiday/ belated honeymoon:) Also we have reservations later on in the holiday at the YC steakhouse again where we had our wedding meal.

Mama Melroses - hear a lot of good things about this on the boards so thought we'd give it a try.

California Grill - again heard a lot about this place so can hopefully catch wishes when we are there too fingers crossed!

SiFi Diner we ate here the last time and thought it was great! and finally CRT for our last day there. :cloud9:

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Im so pleased for you, you will have a magical time and happy planning:thumbsup2

We arrive at sports on 13th september,I dont know if you will still be there:wave2:

We did Chef Mickey's as a couple (along with other character meals) and it was a lot of fun, we saw lots of other tables without kids and I guarantee you won't feel out of place :) Also, we loved California Grill, try to get a window seat if you can :goodvibes
