Hi everyone,
I have booked our stay for June 11th 2006 4 nights concierge :cool1: . It's the 1st time we've ever stayed in a Disney Property so of course the 1st time we have stayed concierge. Lots of people on here write about concierge getting in touch with them before their stay and things like that. Being a 1st timer i don't know about these things. I'd be most grateful if someone could fill me in. TIA.

Nemmie,

Your still a ways out from your vacation, so it's unlikely that Poly concierge would be contacting you this early. I think it's actually closer to the 3 or 4 month mark. Most reservations for dining, tours, etc. can't be made until the 90 day window, even for concierge. If you'd like help with booking something that has a broader window, like Hoop Dee Doo review, or Cirque tickets, then you can definitely touch base with them and get the ball rolling. Their primary communication is e-mail, which is probably great for you being in England. When you get to a point where you know which ADR's you'll need, or any other requests, you can simply e-mail Poly IPO and they'll put them in as a pending item. Once the appropriate window opens up for reservations, your pending items will be changed over to confirmations. The IPO staff can also assist you with any purchases you'd like to make prior to arrival. I usually have a few gifts waiting in our room for the kids. If you're celebrating anything special, they can help you with those plans. Here's their e-mail address to get you started, wdw.polynesian.island.planning.office@disney.com . Feel free to get in touch with them at any time. I haven't stayed at the Poly, but I believe they also send you a nice questionnaire to help in the planning process.

Oh and if you want to look up DIS'er SeaSpray, she had a wonderful stay at the Poly concierge and has done up a nice trip report with lots of pictures. There is also a DIS'er named TikiMan who is very knowledgable about that resort. He has a great website with tons of information and photos. Actually, here's a thread that might interest you http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=937495 .

::yes:: Tammi is right. It will be closer to your trip time and they should be contacting you. Our very first time going I wasn't contacted but had already made our important ADRs. When we checked in, the conc desk CMs helped plan other things. We have always been contacted since around the 100 day mark. So, until then figure out where, and what days. :goodvibes Have a magical trip! :wizard:

Congratulations on booking your trip, that's always a very exciting moment, even if the trip is farther out :sunny:

Anyway, I am the "SeaSpray" that Tammi mentioned above. :earboy2: I have a link to my web site below in my signature. On my web site I have a whole page of pictures and commentary from our stay at the Polynesian concierge building this past summer. Also, on my main page is a link directly to Tikiman's web site.

Have a wondeful trip, and have a lot of fun planning for the next several months :flower:

If you need an electronic copy of the Itinerary to fill out I can send you one. It was one the Polynesian sends out to conceirge guests and it opens up in Microsoft word. You just fill it out and send it to the address that is on top of the form.

email me if you want a copy.
