Good morning! I am at 6 days (not that I'm counting minutes or wandering around my office being cheerful and uncharacteristically polite to people)

I've booked WoC Dessert, BB for lunch and the Frozen pre-party. The only thing I have not booked is anything for PtN. It seemed there were still just as many nays to yeas regarding the seating area from BB.

We will be in the parks 9 days so I figure we can hit a late parade with minimal wait. thoughts, ideas? anything else I should be adding to my trip?

Thanks!!

Yes, if you have 9 days, you should have no problem getting a good spot to view PTN. I would try it earlier in the trip when energy is high and you don't mind a late night. Or with nine days, dedicate some time to save a spot for the earlier parade. By day nine, you will be skipping lines with waits longer than 15 minutes.

I highly suggest doing the second parade, my Ds3 was a it tired but it's so much easier to get a front row spot. After the fireworks we waited off to the side for a few minutes till everyone clears out and the sat right down on a bench and waited for 45 min. I've done the long wait for the first parade and the PTN package at BB but watching the late parade was really a good option.have fun!!

We did the Aladdin's Oasis PTN package, and IMHO, so not worth it. When we arrived, it was 30 minutes before the parade start and we could've gotten just as good of a spot, across the street, without paying for the package.

Don't count on a low wait unless you are going to the 2nd parade. We grabbed our seats 1 1/2 hour before parade time last week. Spots were great but TONS of people already waiting at that point.

We sat down in a great spot for the second parade right after the fireworks ended in July. I don't know if it was pure luck or not, but it was really perfect, and we didn't have much of a wait. My son was even able to walk over to buy some water and popcorn without me having to fight to keep his space.

2nd parade is great - we've had good seats with 10-30 minutes wait (and probably could have come later). We like the area near small world and fantasyland - it's been pretty easy to get front row seats and keep enough room for the kids to move around a tiny bit. Once the parade kicks up there's a good energy level too (pretty calm back there until the parade starts)

Has anyone had the second parade plan not work out well? I've seen so many comments from people who have jumped in to watch the fireworks, and then grabbed a curb for the second parade right after, so that's what I'm planning to do. But I only have one chance to see PTN before it's gone and it will be a Saturday, so if the fireworks-then-second-parade strategy is questionable, I'll commit the time to hold a spot for the first parade. Since this is our only chance for both the fireworks and PTN, my current plan is to watch the fireworks from the best spot we can (I'm not sure if that would be main street or closer to the castle where we can see the Matterhorn), and then grab the closest curb since I don't think it matters much where you watch PTN from, other than being in the front so you can see. I sure am kicking myself for not seeing it all sooner.

We have the Aladdin's Oasis package booked for September 1st, there is only one showing of PTN. What time should we be in the VIP area - is 45 minutes in advance enough time?

The AO viewing area is actually quite large, with many steps that people can sit on and see well without blocking anyone else's view. If you want to see the fireworks with a castle view afterward, it won't be possible to jockey into a good position (believe me, we tried - if we'd known the fireworks would be cancelled every other night of our last trip, we'd have dealt with a crummy view, but that is the best you'll get), even if you follow right behind the parade. You'll be better off staying where you are and watching the projections I understand happen on IaSW.
