My job has already called...

I didn't think any of them had my home number, oh well at least I'm just sitting here watching TV, patiently waiting for labor to start :)

Oh Preshi, I feel your pain. When I had DS, I was the Admin Asst for a VP. He actually called me at the hospital, to "wish me well", and then...."Oh, Deb, while I have you, what do I do about......." Never mind that I was stoned out of my mind on Demerol. :rotfl:

Time to start screening those calls.

I think you should tell them there is a telephone consultation fee.;)

Sometimes it feels good to be missed sometimes.:) If they call back, pretend they've called the wrong number.;)

All I can say is JEALOUS!!!!!

I still have 1 month to go, and it seems FOREVER away!!!!

I can't wait to hear about the new little man in your life!!

At the hopital debster???? Ohhh there would be hell to pay LOL

We are having another boy his name will be Dylan :)

Oh my goodness! I cant believe its almost time for Dylan to arrive.
Best of luck to you, Preshi!

I am worried about my husband being called. I'm going to instruct him to leave his phone at home while we're at the hospital and to let people at work know that. Of course, then he'll be home for two weeks too. They just better be able to live without him. He's not going to be allowed to take work calls while on Paternity leave.

When is your due date? I still have 7 weeks left, officially. Although it might be a week or two sooner (see induction thread).

I'm due in a week but since this is my third child I was hoping he'd come early...no such luck so far!! DH and I are supposed to go to his work party on the 4th of June and I just don't think there is any way I am going to make it unless this baby comes ASAP

I was on maternity leave last summer for about 4 hours before I called the phone company and got caller ID....mostly because my crazy MIL called to see if I was "hot and miserable" (It was late August). Let me tell you, especially since I'm a SAHM now....that is THE best money you will EVER spend in your life!! Especially after the baby comes and you definitely don't want to talk to certain people!

Is it just me or does it seem like the time went by very quickly???? I'm sure for you it didn't but it seemed like yesterday I saw a post that you were expecting.

Well good luck on your labor and phone calls!!!! (Don't know which is worse frankly)

Well - congrats on being home - bummer about them calling though. Wishing you well on the arrival of Dylan! Keep us posted!

Caller ID Preshi! and Call Waiting Caller ID. Love them both!

Sending lots of "hurry up baby" vibes your way. Are you walking, eating spicy food, and all those other crazy things people say to start labor? I cleaned house, painted the shutters, worked a cross-stitch............hurry baby.........:)

We have Caller ID :) I decided to answer it only because it was so funny. Plus I had to teach my job to someone in two days which is nearly impossible. The two women I was teaching my job decided that they didn't learn it well enough but didn't feel like telling me until Wed. Isn't that nice???

Thanks for the well wishes, I'm still here :( LOL Tomorrow would be a good day to have him My Dads birthday is on the 14th and my brothers on the 24th so smack in the middle is good :)

I can almost beat that.
My first child was born 16 weeks early at a little less than a pound and a half in 1996. Fast forward to 1999 and I am pregnant again. I have been telling my manager my entire pregnancy that I could be on bedrest at any point and we need to discuss my clients. Totally ignored. Well then, sure enough, I go on strict bedrest. Dr. tell me that if I do ONE thing I am not supposed to I will be in the hospital for the duration of my pregnancy. I get a call from my boss and she is coming out and bringing someone else w/ her so we can discuss my clients. UGH!
I let them but wasn't very helpful.
People can be unbelievable!

I feel your pain. My assistant called me in the hospital the day I gave birth, she called me at home the day I got home and probably every other day of my 3 month maternity leave. I stopped answering the phone.

Best of luck to you for a smooth delivery and a healthy baby.
