Thats what I use to do but frankly I got tired of holding my tongue ( holding my fingers??lol) and I really dont care what others think of me or if they want to waste their breath flaming me. At the end of the day when my computer gets turned off I am the one that has to live my life , not them. I get so sick of all the BS that is posted here sometimes I just have to say something.

To the OP I think I know what thread your talking about and I am sure I was flamed as well, but to the OP of that thread I really dont give a crap, I could care less about them.

Some things are better left unsaid. In this case, I'd consider what you wrote to be a flame, and the reply just righteous indignation. The fact that you didn't anticipate it being perceived that way goes to your credit: You weren't deliberately being mean. However, in response to the reply to your comment, I would have apologized, if I were you.

I thought your statement was rude or insensitive to the OP on that thread just due to the circumstance of his being banned for life. Whats funny on one thread is perceived to be different on another thread.

People get flamed regularly around here and people usually just flame right back. It's normal DIS behavior. I see several nasty remarks on this very thread (not by the OP though). I wouldn't give it another thought.

I was in on that thread before it was closed and i remember your post. At first I thought it was rather rude, and I even posted a long note of support to these guys...after thinking aobut it overnight and realizing I was posting at almost 2am(I think)...I have so many questions about their story that I wish I hadn't posted like I did(I never stay up that late and I was exhausted). I now find your comment pretty funny.

Most of the things labeled as "flaming" on the DIS boards wouldn't even get a second look on other boards I've been on (or Usenet for that matter). So I'd say that you haven't been flamed. It can't really be flaming unless someone has called into question your intelligence, heritage, and sexual preferences, and insulted your children, pets, and ancestors. Of course, things are a bit more cordial around here (even if sometimes it's a little too much hugs and rainbows ).

I don't either. I read it when it was first posted and was shocked that something like that could happen. But when thought about the whole story it just didn't make sense.

To the OP of this thread. You just said what a lot of others was thinking. Doesn't really matter if the wording could have been 'prettier'. It is what it is.

I read the other thread, and looked into that thread's OP's past posts. Yeah, I don't buy it either. Some people just need attention.

Me either! I think there is a lot there that was left out.

I didn't think your comment was horrible. Since I didn't believe the OP, I saw it as funny. But I think a lot of people did believe it & were sympathic. So your remark hit them the wrong way. I think it was a slight flame, but I wouldn't worry about it. I usually don't worry about it.
