This time I am making a list so I absolutely dont forget

I still have NEVER

1, Rode one fish two fish

2. Rode Pterandon flyers

3. Rode the Unicorn coaster

4. Been to the Dinosaur discovery center (is that what its called)

5. Even seen whatever that dinosaur dig area is:confused3

As you can see theres a whole area in jurassic park that I completely miss every time. I want to at least look at it this year!

Actually this year, I vow to ride EVERY SINGLE RIDE. Which includes Dr Dooms fearfall which scares the pee-pee outa me.

oh, my.......you will love dr doom.

if i could fit that ride in my back pocket and take it home with me, i surely would.

one thing wrong with that ride is that it is too short of a ride......

i have done all of the above except the digs.
just not into it.

since i have been going solo to the parks, i do everything.
i have more time to cover everything.

i can even sit an hour at the mystic fountain and watch the obnoxious kids get wet.........

when i would take the sons, we stayed together and i would miss out on many a fun thing.

i no longer have to bypass cat in the hat and one fish, blue fish....they are way kewl

Just want to point out if you don't have a child to ride with, you need to go in the first hour after the park opens to ride the flyers. Otherwise you will be turned away before you even get in line.

If you like Dr. Doom that much you should visit Cedar Point (Sandusky, OH) sometime and ride the Power Tower. Built by the same company but its the worlds largest version of the ride (300ft tall) and has 4 towers two that shoot you up into the air and two that slowly lift you to the top then fire you down. You really don't know what your missing until you ride Cedar Points version.

I've never done One Fish, Two Fish but have done everything else. We're there for 7 days in Feb. I'm vowing to ride everything as well.

i have heard that but in october last year, i got in the line by myself and rode it at noon time.

the employee at the bottom said no problem for me going on it without a kid.

i wasn't the only one in line solo that day either.

i guess it is a hit or miss thing.

sometimes they enforce the rule of having to have a small kid with you to ride it and sometimes they don't.

btw, the park was not empty that day, it was on columbus day i went on the ride.

damo, be sure to listen to the song they play so you know when to duck and not get sprayed with water then.

i've been told that before.
i'm in chicago land area and it would be a shorter trip there than to the darkside for me.

but also told that lines are way long at Cedar Point for some of the hot rides.

we have that type of ride that shoots you to the top and then slowly lowers you to the ground at great america six flags near my house. yup, like that one also but really love dr. doom much better.

come on Mac. we used to live in Illinois and visited SFGA when we could. that tower ride is next to Raging Bull, and drops you instead of launching you like Dr. Doom.

it's got some old western mining theme to it.

yea it has the mining theme to it.
you are right, guess too much jack daniels in me tonight........lol

it goes up slowly and then drops quickly.

i always put a penny on my thigh when it goes down and the penny goes up in the air then lands on my leg or if i move, it hits the ground.

thanks for reminding me.
its a good ride but nothing like dr doom to me.

how long has it been since you left the illinois area amity?

about three years ago, and not soon enough. we were unfortunate enough to live in central IL before that. I love the Chicago area, but anywhere below that is a death sentence.

it was mid 70's here today, screw the rest of the country.

six flags is just something to do in the summer until i can get back to the darkside.

thank you for sharing.

it is a stinking 14 degrees here now..........with 6 inches of snow on the ground and more to start tomorrow.

if i could get out of this area, i would in a heartbeat!!

They are saying snow for us tonite too...I hope they're wrong tho!

As for the Flyers, they start turning adults away if the line is longer than 30 minutes.
I am thinking about making my own drop tower, in fact I have a crude one made....but the problem I have is that once the seat gets to the top, it keeps going. I need to work out a breaking system.

The lines arent too awful bad unless the ride is really new. ( or go at an off peak season time( during the school year )

Wow! We've only been twice and hit all that! I'd like to see the fountain--I don't remember that but I know what it's all about. I can't wait to do all these things again! I'm sure our trip this time will be alot different with two little ones in tow. I think we'll do some kid swap though. :)

Visited IOA this past Sat. and Sun. (Jan 20-21) and tons of adults were riding the Flyers without children. In fact, my 4 y/o son and I didn't ride because there was a 30 minute wait and the 5-10 people who got in line before us were all adults--most appeared to be in their 30's-40's.
