I was a bad girl at Wal-Mart on Friday. When I entered the lawn and garden dept, my green thumb started itching...
I'm running out of room in my established beds! Time to make new ones...heh heh....
I can't help it! I love growing things....
I showed some restraint and bought some bulbs for my shady areas.....lily of the valley and bleeding heart. I also got some stuff for patio planters....hosta, caladdiums and tiny tot glads.
I got some regular glads to fill in the areas around my trees....as a backdrop. I also planted 7 daylilies as a border to a bed in my front yard.
Then I saw the butterfly bushes. Uh oh! I have violet and lavnedar already and Wal-Mart had pink ones. I'm starting it off in a pot....
More butterflies, Hooray!
I also got 3 garden phlox....pink. I needed them in a bare area against a naked fenceline.
So I was busy on Saturday getting it all situated in the ground. PHEW!
I'm also setting aside space for a hydrangea and I'm getting more caladdiums to accent my elephant ear beds...
I hope to enjoy lovely blooms soon and I will share pictures with my Buds!
Anybody else been bad?
You can see my new planters. In the background, you can see some dayliles coming up.
