just downloaded new music - it shows up on my itunes list on the computer & when I tell it to sync it tries to sync but the new music doesn't move over.

What am I doing wrong:confused3

are you using the current iTunes software? Check to see if it has any updates.

Are you sure the iPod is plugged into the cable securely? I had the same synching problem the other day and, I'm sad to tell you, it took me about 20 minutes to finally figure out that the IPod wasn't plugged in all the way (although it looked as though it was.) :lmao:

You can set up your iPod to only sync certain artists, genres, albums, etc. If you have it set to just fill, maybe you have run out of space now so it won't add the new songs?

Did you make sure the songs were selected (checked)?

When you click "sync", what messages do you see?

No, it's plugged in

It tells me it's syncing on the computer - works on it & on my ipod it says syncing too but none of the new stuff is on there. The new ones show on the computer just fine.

I tried to download the newest version - cause if its changed then I'm sure i'm not updated ( I haven't added music in months)

I let it work for a long while & then all the sudden it said something about deleting files, so I stopped it 'cause I don't want any of my music deleted.

This is the time when I hate techonlogy!

Yes all my songs are checked

and no - definitely not out of space - only have about 100 songs on there

I do that all the time with my phone! The stupid thing gets bumped & is unplugged & you don't know it until you try to use the phone & it didn't charge. Its terrible

When you have your iPhone plugged in, make sure you have "Purchased" under playlists checked off just to be sure. Then hit Sync again and watch the progress bar. You should see the progress of each song as it's transfered. Are you seeing this in iTunes or it just going to "Syncing" then stop?

I am having the same issue....:sad2:

I have had an ipod for 5 years, and this has never happened before. I am hoping when a new itunes update comes out it will work again. It's very frustrating.

I googled this issue and others have had it as well.

Good luck!
